Does this plug in or do I have to buy batteries?

The clippers are powered through the unit's hose. Since the hair that you clip is suctioned straight into the hose, they are always attached to the furMe unit. The furMe is AC powered through an outlet.

Do any of the accessories that come with this trim the paw pads or do you have to buy the attachments separate?

When I fully groom my doodle, I end up with so much hair sticking to my clothes, on the floor, and wisps end up throughout the house. With the FurMe, it all goes into the vacuum, and none on me. The clippers are sharp and work great. Everyone thinks she's had a professional haircut. :) The brush attachment works fantastic to pick up hair from furniture, better than our upscale vacuum (but it does not work as well on the cat tree carpeting.) I wish I had purchased this product when my sweet Shepherd was still with us. It would have been a game changer to be able to brush/vacuum her daily and not have her fur take over the entire house. However, thus far, the FurMe hasn't worked for my cats - they're spooked by the noise. I hope they will eventually get desensitized to it and let me brush them with the FurMe to eliminate cat hair on the sofas.

Not as impressed as I hoped to be

Pup is a shedder. I see very little fur on the vacuum brush. I tried all 3 power levels. Disappointed I spent so much money.

a must have if you have shedders

I have a husky and a heeler/kelpie mix. Both shed horrendous twice a year for about 6 weeks. This grooming vac is amazing. Quiet enough for my husky if i start on

I have a husky and a heeler/kelpie mix. Both shed horrendous twice a year for about 6 weeks. This grooming vac is amazing. Quiet enough for my husky if i start on level 1 and then xan go to 2. My heeler/kelpie loves it even on level 3. doesnt even scare the cat. Best $200 I’ve spent this year. so worth the money. Highly recommend.

Likely worth the cost

I have a 4 y.o. GSD who is an endless source of hair/fur. I was afraid that he would not tolerate the vacuum noise (since he goes crazy over my regular vacuum cleaners)

I have a 4 y.o. GSD who is an endless source of hair/fur. I was afraid that he would not tolerate the vacuum noise (since he goes crazy over my regular vacuum cleaners) but since it is quieter and stationary it has been fine up to setting 2. The deshedding brush does seem to be more effective than when I use the same type of brush w/o vacuum. My cat, however, has not been approachable with the device. I think that FurMe MAY have been a worthwhile purchase if it proves to be durable. Anything that can help reduce the clouds of hair is appreciated.

I just finished grooming both my dog and my cat in 30 minutes. I have a small Great Pyrenees (65lbs) on the not so hairy side (but still long-haired hairy, just not for a GP) and a Ragdoll cat (much hairier). I just tidied both of them up, including their paws. It took a minute for the dog to get used to it as she was an abused rescue. With a little built up confidence in me, she gets through the tidy with easy. She's a pro now! The cat is a big baby and just thinks I'm petting her with a bit of noise. This thing is a GAME CHANGER! Minimal clean up. Honestly, I just do it outside and walk away. The vacuum portion is just...well...it's glorious. If you are debating on getting one, wondering if it works. It does!!!

I have a black lab guide dog (I’m blind) who sheds like crazy. Paying for grooming and deshedding gets expensive so after going through a few different brushes with so-so results, and still having hair all over the place, I bit the bullet and bought the FURME. I’ve only had it for a week but it works just like it does in the videos. Took two days for Lenny (my dog) to acclimate to it, and magic, less hair on the dog and the floor. It’s well made, and Lenny enjoys all the attention he gets in the process. My life is less complicated, and I don’t have to lay out 90 dollars every time he needs grooming.
