The 9-TEETH SIDE softly glides the smooth edge along fur to cut through mats. The 17-TEETH SIDE gently guide the smooth edge through fur to deshed and remove loose fur. Double Coated

I have tried this on all 3 of my kids with little success. They are all shedders, and I have tried it at various times during their shedding cycle. One of my pups

I have tried this on all 3 of my kids with little success. They are all shedders, and I have tried it at various times during their shedding cycle. One of my pups is a Malamute cross (with lots of other shedding breeds) and he has a substantial double coat. I figured it would at least work on him, but the blades were still a bit too far apart to be really effective. May work better on a fluffier coat.

I am a pet groomer. Yes this detangles your dog or cats hair and prevents tangling. But you have to be gentle with the pressure you place on the pet. This is not

This is not sharp on the edges that it will open skin but it’s a bit more sharp than let’s say an Oster steel detangler so I returned this bc I don’t want to hurt my pets inadvertently bc it’s pretty strong.

This is a well-made rake for pet fur or hair, but not if your pet has longer fur. The rake tugs my dog’s fur a little too hard & she whined/ cried when I tried to use it on her a few times. She typically tolerates grooming very well. The rake works well for one of my cats, however, as he has much shorter fur.

These tools are the best for deshedding. We had a German shepherd with longer hair and it was great at getting the hair underneath out. My dog loved it. We have a new shepherd who has shorter hair but the brush works well on her too. I think it works the best on longer hair dogs. Also the dogs both like to be brushed with it.

Good for combing out the undercoat, but it really doesn’t cut through mats as advertised. The “sharp” side just isn’t sharp enough.

Deep brushing for undercoat!

Long hair cat loves being brushed with this but after her normal brushing happens. It removes so much under coating it’s amazing! Gentle brushing and lots of petting
