Cats like it and seem to vomit less, but we also started using automatic feeders that spit out the appropriate amount of food to split their meals up 3x a day. With 5 cats, and 5 auto feeders, there is never any left in the bowls. All of our cats from 1 yr to 13 years eat this up. But they were all more or less rescues from gas station dumpsters, strays that showed up, farm kitty turned indoor cat, and a shelter baby.

Fed this for about a week and a half to my indoor cats and strays. This food made 3 of my indoor cats throw up to the point where they were visibly thinner and 1 indoor cat had bloody stool. The strays chose not to eat it. Which is very unusual. Chewy did offer my money back which I do appreciate and the folks at Chewy were apologetic. When strays choose to go hungry vs eating this food it says a lot. I mixed it with a more premium cat food but it didn’t help. Even a small amount was making them ill.

The ingredients seemed great, it came up when I searched digestive dry cat food. I adopted a cat with a very sensitive stomach and another whose extremely picky and refuses healthy food. I ordered this bag along with a different kind they like so I could mix in. At first they refused to eat, eventually they began eating it but as a last resort. It still mostly sits in the bowl while the other is eaten. I toss it out eventually. Biggest complaint is how thin the pieces are. The one who will eat it has a hard time getting them into his mouth and keeping it in there before he can chew. I won’t buy it again.

I saw the Gentle Giants ad and bought it for my two cats. The bag was bigger than I expected and when it was opened the cats dived right in. The only problem was

I saw the Gentle Giants ad and bought it for my two cats. The bag was bigger than I expected and when it was opened the cats dived right in. The only problem was there was no way to close the bag. So, I mixed it in with the cat food I already had in a pet food storage container. I would have preferred to keep it separate.

After a lot of research, this is consistently the lowest fat kibble on the market. Even Rx GI food has more fat than this food. My boxer is pancreatic, so I feed this food and top with low fat proteins (boiled chicken, lean ground turkey and beef) so that she's is satisfied.
