Questions & Answers

11 Customer Questions

Is this AAFCO certified?

Answer by ChewyMar 07, 2018
Go! Fit + Free grain free Puppy recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO dog food nutrient profiles for growth except growth of large size dogs (70lbs or more as an adult).

Where are the ingredients sourced from?

Answer by ChewyDec 16, 2020
When it comes to ingredient sourcing, you can rest assured that the animal source proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in the GO! SOLUTIONS, NOW FRESH, and GATHER recipes are sourced from North America (as close to the production facility as possible). The manufacturer's primary suppliers are based in Canada, however, due to some limits on availability, they have some USA based ingredient suppliers. Also, the venison and pasture raised lamb is sourced from New Zealand and Australia.

Is this food minimally processed?

Answer by ChewyOct 26, 2020
To ensure their products perform up to their (and their customers) high standards they perform palatability (taste), stool consistency, urine pH and feeding trials during the product development process. Petcurean thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the manufacturing equipment between production runs to ensure the integrity of their recipes. They take important steps to avoid cross-contamination by requiring that employees in different areas of the production facility follow strict quality assurance protocols.

How long is the food good for once the bag is open?

Answer by ChewyNov 21, 2021
An unopened bag of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the bag. Ideally, dry food and treats should be consumed within 6-8 weeks of opening the bag. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep dry foods in their original packaging and store in a cool, dry location.

Great food for our Boston puppy

He loves his food. Stools are firm. No more gas. We are elated to have found a diet for him that agrees with his system.

I started our Cocker Puppy on this food when she was 12 wks old. She is now 19 weeks. She likes this food and has consistant, firm poops. I like it because its grain free, 87% protien from animal meats & bone. Plus it has a great protien to fat ratio. Our Pup has lots of energy, a beautiful, shiny coat & not becoming over weight. I would highly reccomend to family & friends.
