Feels kinda like a heavy duty fleece. The box says machine washable but the tag mentions sprinkling baking powder on it. Dog has not been overly interested in laying

I tried it, and it works.

I have larger dogs, and it could have been bigger. I sat on it for awhile when I got it, and it does heat up and is comfy.
