Great Treat for Cats
We have 17 year old and 15 year old cats. The 17 y.o. has tarter build up and inflammation in her gums. She does not like her mouth touched. Vet said cleaning not needed but suggested these treats. She likes soft food and I was worried as they are hard treats. When we got the treats she took to them with much delight. I don't think I have seen her so excited for hard treats. Our 15 y.o. loves them too. So now anytime they hear a bag, they think its treat time. I have also seen an improvement with eating too and mouth not being a problem now after a month with these treats. So worth it and not expensive.
My cats love it,
Greenies was suggested to me by my niece, so i decided to give them a try. My cats love them, I have one fur baby that is very picky about his treats, he would only eat one kind of treat. And when he tried these, he love them. Now if i leave the box unattended he tries to open it with his teeth. I have decided that I am only buying Greenies Catnip Flavor treats from now on.
Who doesn't like Greenies
I have 7 outdoor cats that have claimed me. Also have an indoor cat. They all love treats. But Greenies are given as a special treat. But one of them is a cat that pops in periodically. He will eat sometimes. He mainly comes to get his supply of Catnip and a place to nap. He doesn't eat regular treats like my other cats. About a month ago I gave him some Greenies. Well he loves those. He even started talking to me while rolling around..then stares at me til I give him Greenies
Wow catnip flavored treats
My 12 year old companion has a sensitive stomach and it seems she soothes it by eating catnip. I have tried many types of catnip but even with screening the product myself in an attempt to remove the thin sticks and stalks from it I can't get them all so all too often they would cause her to vomit. Never knowing catnip flavored Greenies existed I had to purchase a bag when I found them on Chewy. Well, SweetPea loved them and her sensitive stomach did as well. This large size container of Greenies is ideal...the snap lid keeps them fresh and crunchy and she knows that snap of the lid means her treats are on the way.
Cats Love Them but Don't Help Teeth
While I would love to give these 5 stars and recommend them, they are still small enough for the cats to swallow them whole. The cats absolutely go bananas over them but just swallow them whole. Thus, they provide no dental benefit at all.
My cat loves these treats! He likes all of the flavors, but he likes the catnip ones the best. He hardly let's me get them out of the bag before he starts pawing to get them out of my hand, plus they are good for his teeth.
Healthy Preventative Dental Care
Have given my dog dental chews for years but never found comparable product for my cat. He is in love with greenies and the vet is really pleased with the condition and how I’m handling their teeth maintenance. Easy solution resulting in fewer vet cleaning appointments and fewer times they have to be under sedation. Win for everyone!
While Micia rarely indulges in any sort of treat, she makes an exception for these treats and demands them every evening in her puzzle toy. Sometimes she tries to convince the puzzle fillers that it is 9:30pm and time for the puzzle treat regardless of what they think the time is.
Catnip is key
We have tried all the flavors of Greenies Dental Treats and the catnip seems to be the most delicious! Warren would give it a very enthusiastic 2 thumbs up if he had thumbs.
Not sure how well they clean teeth but the cats love them!
I have two cats, one of whom is quite the glutton and will eat almost anything (except neither cat will touch the freeze-dried treats from a certain famous chef and his Maine Coon). So, I really wasn’t expecting them to not eat this, but I was shocked when the gluttonous cat actually TROTS to get these treats! He usually just sits there and loudly demands food, but for these he will actively move his body to get to them before the other cat! These are pretty big, so they don’t need as many of them. I guess that’s also good because they are actually forced to chew them, hence the dental cleaning aspect. We have purchased lots of other dental treats which are smaller that the cats basically swallow whole. I took off one star because all of the Greenies treats are much more expensive than the other brands, but if you’re just looking for a review on whether the cats like them they get 5 stars. If they actually work to keep their teeth clean (too soon to tell), then I guess it’s worth it. Otherwise they’re just pretty expensive treats.
