    Won’t eat it

    By on

Roos usually will take his medicine through syringe if not on his food, but this doesn’t dissolve in water like lysine. It’s too big. He has no problem with his oral meds except pills., but after two tries of this he stopped. He’s rather not eat than eat this. The treats were sold out and couldn’t try that. I’m not sure he would eat hard treats with a sore mouth. I don’t think it has much if a smell. I do thing it’s the texture. It doesn’t dissolve like I said and I think he can taste it unlike the product says. It just wasn’t working for Roo. I’m low income and I can’t get a refund since it was opened. I’ll give it to his vet to use.

    Not sure about this one

    By on

I mixed this with my cat's wet food, which he only ate 2X with this in it. He licked it. How does it help their teeth that way? 2 of my cats will eat the PlaqueOff treats, so I figure that helps them.

    waiting to see results

    By on

Just purchased. cats have no problem with taste. It seems to cause a little constipation though. The good news is that my kitty who has herpes, allergies, asthma and has been sneezing blood for three months has stopped. He still has a runny nose though. I bought this PlaqueOff because of the reviews about a mucous membrane inflammation problem. It seems to work for that issue which makes it well worth it to me. We will see how the teeth are doing soon.

    My cats like it!

    By on

I wanted something to help with my cats dental health. They have this product that is suitable for cats and dogs. I found that my cats did not like it. No matter how small an amount, they can taste it or smell it and won’t touch their food. I reordered it and purchased the one for cats only. It has a picture of just a cat on the label. They like it and have no problem eating it mixed into their food.

    My cat won't eat it.

    By on

It's too soon to tell whether it is having any effect. In order to get my cat to it eat, I have to mix it with Nutri-Cal & stick it in her mouth. How long is it supposed to take to get plaque off & freshen breath? My cat has stomatitis.

    Cat Feels Better

    By on

Stanley suffered a terrible flare-up of stomatitis aggravated by FHV (feline herpes virus). He was hospitalized with a 105-degree fever, and was drooling and sneezing blood. He was hardly eating and looking withered. I thought it might be the end. After a night in the hospital and lots of antibiotics, steroids and fluids, he came home looking better. While he was there, I researched stomatitis and came across a website that raved about Plaque-Off and how it had helped her cat. I purchased a bottle and began to administer it along with Lysine and his doxycycline (antibiotic) and famciclovir (anti-viral). I made sure to get the version specially formulated for cats, which includes Brewer's Stanley suffered a terrible flare-up of stomatitis aggravated by FHV (feline herpes virus). I made sure to get the version specially formulated for cats, which includes Brewer's Yeast to improve the palatability. I crush the two pill quarters, then add all of the powders to about a teaspoon of wet food with a little warm water. He gets that first, and then he gets his "real" food once he's cleaned his dish. To my amazement, he loves it. This is so much easier than trying to force pills down his throat with a sore mouth. It's been about three weeks. No drooling, no sneezing, clear bright present eyes, and a gloriously wonderful appetite. His gums look better than the have in a while. He's happier, he's snuggling again, and he's grooming himself. I can't say whether it's just the Plaque-Off. But he'd been getting Lysine for years, and he's been on a variety of antibiotics and steroids before this that would work for awhile then taper off into a flare. He had a full-mouth extraction except for the four fangs a year ago. He was in such bad shape they didn't want to risk removing them and sent him home to "stabilize". Well, this is the most stable he's been and the best he's looked and acted in a LONG time. It could be the Plaque-Off alone, or that plus the famciclovir we're trying. I'm going to also give Plaque-Off to another cat who has minor stomatitis issues but doesn't take all those things to see how it affects him. All in all I'm very pleased with the product and with Chewy. My only complaint is with FedEx. I ordered on a Friday and Chewy notified me it would arrive Saturday. It didn't, and when I called FedEx I was told it was put on the wrong truck and wouldn't be delivered until Tuesday (their next business day). Then FedEx told me that they couldn't do anything about the shipping, that I had to call Chewy to file a complaint about FedEx's shipping. I thought that was ridiculous since it was FedEx's fault, not Chewy's. If not for the shipping glitch, this would have been a perfect order. But I still give five stars because it's a product my cat will consume with relish, and it appears to be helping. And Chewy, of course, is fantastic as always. … more

Everything I have read about this product was extrememy positive so I wanted to try it. The plaque is disappearing from Addie's teeth! Added bonus, one bottle lasts about 6 months at one scoop per day. I am very pleased with the product and with Chewy.
