My 17-year-old cat had never had bad breath, but it started getting really funky. Her back teeth didn't look so good either. I was worried that dental problems would cause her pain and stress, so gave this a try about 6 months ago. She had a vet appointment four days ago, and the vet remarked on her pearly whites, which made me so happy. Aging is hard on cats, and anything I can do to help her in her golden years is a win! Photo of my sweet Rosa for tax. :)
I am using the product once a day....or I should say Mimi is using the product. Her breath is better....but don't know about her teeth yet. I have never been any good at looking into a cat's mouth. She resists and I give up. I will have to have the vet look. I will post the results when I get some.
At our cat's annual physical, the vet noticed some plaque/tartar build up on her back teeth and recommended this powder. She's been fine with the taste but I won't know if it's actually working until or next visit. I will say her breath isn't as bad as it was, so hopefully that's a good sign.
My kitten refused to eat his food with this on it. Even after mixing it thoroughly with his canned food he would not touch it
Six paws down from my cats. They wouldn’t touch any food with this in it, no matter how little I tired to hide in their food.
I sprinkled this on my cats food and they refused to eat their wet and dry foods. Not sure what about it, but my cats didn't want to try this at all.
she won't eat her food when you add this to it. It states that is a brewers yeast, you would think that could cause gut issues.
This was in a recommendation list from my cat's vet. One cat had bad plaque build up. The other bad breath and red gums. While it has helped with bad breath. It has done nothing to keep plaque off the cat's teeth. I just checked my boy, and I can see the white build up is coming back. I will have to try something else.
My cat loves this stuff and licks it up even just the powder alone, he’s constantly trying to get the bottle when I’m not looking. His teeth health has improved from previous times we have been to the vet and I was recommend to keep doing whatever I was doing for his teeth health! With me not being able to brush his teeth this is a great alternative along with the other dental care products I use.
I sprinkle the tiny scoop on her kibble. She eats it. I do not know if this is keeping her teeth cleaner or not. I had her eating oral care food for years. At 12 years old, I didn’t want to give her that huge marble size kibble.
