Feeding Instructions

1 scoop daily should be added to wet and dry food.

Start with a smaller dose to get your cat accustomed to the taste, then increase to the recommended dosage. Sprinkle the product on top of the food or mix it with the dry or wet food once a day. How long it takes before you notice an effect on tartar and bad breath is individual. If the desired effect is not achieved after 2 months you can increase the dose. Aim to return to the recommended dose when the effect has been attained.

Vet recommended so hopefully doing good

    By on

At first, Lola really didn’t like it. When sprinkled on her food she was almost scared of her food. So then I tried with just a little sprinkle and mixed really good in wet food. Then we did the gradual increase until we reached the vet recommended 1/2 scoop for her plaque and tartar build up. She apparently has an allergy to her own plaque and tartar. ProDent is supposed to help prevent the plaque from sticking to the teeth. I was told to only use 1/2 scoop once a day in her food. Now she has no issues eating with the ProDent sprinkled and tries to lick the container before I can get it onto her plate. This supposedly is a formula approved for dogs first. Then when you’re ready to start using, sprinkle very little with the gradual increase over time. This will help them adjust to something new in their food and hopefully you will have greater long term success. … more

    Too soon to tell...

    By on

The item arrived very quickly. My cat has no problem with the taste so it's very easy to dose him with it. It's too soon to tell yet if it's having any effect. I'm using it to help with stomatitis. Fingers crossed.

    Treat lover

    By on

Wiley and Tigger both enjoy a scoop of this powder mixed into their wet food meal. They didn't bat an eye when the other Plaque-Off for Dogs and Cats was traded for this variety ( that is formulated for cats only.) Seems to be working and is certainly easier than toothbrush wrestling.

    more direction about its use

    By on

I wish it would have more directions as to how long should the treatment last; if it is okay every day in all their food; should it be only on dry food or could it be into the water too?. Thanks

    Great for Stomatitis

    By on

I am writing this because when my cat (now cats, brothers) first got stomatitis, there wasn't much on the internet to go off of. I did stumble across this product and decided to start giving it to my boys. I am not sure if it actually helps or not as one of them had all his teeth pulled and the other still has stomatitis, but not as bad as his brother. I hope it lessens his symptoms at least a little bit. It can't hurt.

Cat would not eat her food when this was placed on it. Wish it would have worked but unfortunately she didn’t like the taste.

    Great for Cats

    By on Top 500 Contributor

This has helped my cats' breath, and their teeth are looking great. We have never had any dental problems. I mix this into their wet food and they eat it with no problem. I'm glad Chewy carries this because I cannot find it anywhere, and the two different sizes is a great option. Thanks again for great service and products.

    It Works!!!!!!!!

    By on

It works. I put it in the cats' wet food. Definitely sweetens the pet breath! And they don't mind the addition. Been using it for a year.
