Taurine is naturally occurring in all meat Protein. While all meat protein will provide taurine, some such as chicken, will provide more taurine than other meats. Due to the high inclusion of meat proteins, it is not necessary to supplement taurine in every formula. Taurine supplementation is generally focused on cat foods and non-poultry- containing dog foods.
Greenies does not supplement taurine in most dog foods as dogs' bodies already synthesize their own taurine. There could be a low level found from animal proteins used, but they have not validated this through testing. Formulation does not suggest giving a predicted value that has not been validated through testing.
