Greenies tennis dental chews

I don't know why these greenies are too soft so they gobble it down so quickly. When purchased years ago,they were a much harder and firmer so they chewed it like they are suppose to. This time they are too soft almost like gummy bears.....it doesn't clean their teeth. Did they changed the ingredients???

I have had animals my whole life (I am old) and have never had any of the dental treatments the Vet's always recommend because it is always so expensive so I make sure they get one dental treat a day, I switched to the smaller ones and switch between three different ones but they like these the best.

We have a bit of a routine. When I get out to the kitchen, my dog waits on the rug in the dining room, and won't move until she gets one of these. Her dental checks have been good (one cleaning, and because of having to have a cracked tooth removed, the lower own has a bit of tartar; tooth was cracked with an elk antler). She literally won't leave her dining room spot without her "toothbrush".

We live 30+ minutes away from the nearest pet supply store now. After driving (one time) over an hour round trip to buy dog food, I decided to try Chewy. Wow! My fur babies ate the first bag of food more quickly than expected, so I went online and bumped up the next delivery and added dental treats. Delivery, both times I’ve ordered, was super quick. I’ve been giving Greenies to both my Yorkies for a number of months now. I took my four-year-old Yorkie in for teeth cleaning this morning. The vet called and said my Yorkie didn’t have any periodontal disease and didn’t need a cleaning. I think the vet was as surprised as I was. I’m giving credit to the Greenies at this point because Yorkies are known for their periodontal disease.
