So far so good

So far this medication seems to be going well. He occasionally throws up a little from it, but that's a standard side effect. I won't know for sure that it's working

So far this medication seems to be going well. He occasionally throws up a little from it, but that's a standard side effect. I won't know for sure that it's working until our next imaging appointment I'm assuming, but our kitty definitely seems happier, weeks more attention , is becoming chatty, and is starting to play a little - all of which makes me believe he is feeling a LOT better. He was a stray in a colony, so I'm not sure how much of the behavior changes are illness/recovery related or how many are comfort with us and enjoying being an indoor kitty. We put them meds in some wet food and most days he seems to not really notice that it's in there. We went with the tuna flavored. It doesn't smell like anything to me (and I'm not brave enough to taste it, lol) but putting it in fish flavored food seems to hide it pretty well.

Lifes saved

This medicine has saved the life of two of my kittens. Fern with wet fip and Shrimp Boat with neurological fip. Had i known about this last year it could have saved

This medicine has saved the life of two of my kittens. Fern with wet fip and Shrimp Boat with neurological fip. Had i known about this last year it could have saved 13 lives. Please let everyone know FIP isn't an automatic death sentence anymore. I did lose Moonshine while she was in treatment. She has neurological but with seizures. Other kittens with seizures and not fip also did not survive, so I do not fault the medication.

Chewy should be so proud of themselves for making an affordable medication that was originally brought to me at $1700. My kitten hadn’t eaten for weeks and I was hand feeding her formula and nutrients just to get something in her body. She was lethargic and stopped playing. Her personality vanished and I was terrified I would lose her. This medicine saved her life, within days, her personality returned. She’s only been taking this medicine for three weeks, but I have my little kitten back.

This product works very well my kitten’s belly started to swell up. She has wet FIP and it was starting to become very difficult to walk. By day 2 her stomach started to shrink and she became more playful. I’m 3 weeks into a 12 week treatment with vet follow ups. She’s doing very well and I’m happy she has a fighting chance. Thanks CHEWY!!!!

Worked super quick & reasonable cost!

There was discussion on the FIP FB page that another very expensive vendor was the only one with the real product. My cat was visibly improved in less than a day, back to her feisty kitten self in a mere 5 days - and she likes the chicken liquid (only needs 0.5mL so it’s not much!). I do wish they had an overnight shipping option for this since it’s such a scary disease. Info vet told me to read had me scared to death! But I decided to trust the Chewy reputation for quality and they came through with me still being able to afford the follow up vet trips and blood work (and not spend $3k to treat my baby!)! I don’t have that much to treat my own diseases!

Life Saver- Literally!

Thank you so much Chewy for offering this compounded version and at an affordable price! I couldn't afford the real medicine (Stokes Pharmacy quoted $800 for genuine med.) and my 9 month old kitty Kiki who I had just adopted was diagnosed w/ FIP upon first vet visit. Within the first two weeks of having her, she got progressively worse... she had no energy, wouldn't play at all w/ her sister, eating gradually slowed to nothing- she lost alot of weight... At first I thought she was just a lap kitty that loved snuggling but things changed quickly. Vet prescibed this, Chewy expedited the shipment overnight (during a holiday weekend) due to the severity of Kiki's health and within 3 days, she was playing like a kitten and eating up a storm! Fast forward to the end of the 90 day tratment and Kiki's bloodwork show her numbers are back to normal! Kiki had no side effects on this- she loved the chicken flavor and I'm so grateful to Chewy.

Saving my cat’s life

I found a cat in late August who’s always been very sickly. Multiple vet visits led to a diagnosis of FIP. My heart dropped when I was quoted the price for the medication through my vet. Luckily chewy makes it much more accessible. Since starting this medication Nov 10, my cat has gained 33% of her body weight. She thinks it’s a treat and paws at me for it, is eager to eat it. I got the tuna flavor. A+++

The order took so long to arrive

Honestly, the medication is awesome, but it took too long to arrive, when your pet is sick every second counts, so if you don't have any doses with you keep that

Honestly, the medication is awesome, but it took too long to arrive, when your pet is sick every second counts, so if you don't have any doses with you keep that in mind, we had to call every vet clinic in Atlanta to find one that has 4 pills to give us which cost $300 unfortunately
