Is this toy good for rough chewers!

Answer by ChewyJun 18, 2025
Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it's always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and, most importantly, keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

This is more of a warning than then a review. I dont believe it is the products failure but mine. Its Christmas and we are at the emergency vet. My dog has many plush toys that she does not destroy but in an hour, she consumed half of this toy while I was home getting ready for the holiday. I think the fact that it had treats hidden motivated her to destroy and eat it. It happened fast and quietly. Please beware and only use with 1:1 supervision. Turned into a $800 Christmas present and canceled family plans.

My dog llloves it! When I bought it I didn't realize it can also hide food in it, which is another plus! My dog is a pitbull and hasn't killed it yet. It's been damaged but can still hide treats and all squeaker are still intact, and we've had it for about a month.

If a TUG toy, OK FOR TUG OF WAR........ BUT if DOG IS A CHEWER AND chews.................... IF YOUR Dog walks off after playing. It will go off on its own and CHEW....STOP THEM.. I heard snapping chew... a small squeaker.............OK threw that away, sitting down, and another snapping chew, another squeaker. So I keep an eye on watching the dog play... I lost count, it was 5 or 6 TINY squeakers he pulled out of this toy. So I took the toy and FULLY Investigated and searched if any more squeakers. So now he lies down with the toy. BUT both ends are still tied, and I am not sure if anything is tied in that knot... THIS IS NOT A TOY FOR A HEAVY CHEWER OF HIS TOYS..Spark is a Golden Retriever

Surprisingly durable puzzle toy

I didn’t have high hopes about the durability of this toy, but it’s held up very well and keeps my dog busy for a while if I stick a few treats in it!

I really liked the idea of this, as my labrador is high energy and needs mental stimulation. However, he ripped it apart within 30 minutes. The braids are a bit tight, so he was unable to get out the kibble pieces I pushed into pockets of fabric. So his solution was to rip each pocket apart. The material is made of felt, so its very soft and easy to tear. I also didn't like how the fuzz from the fabric started to easily flake off, it was actually irritating my dog's throat too and he was dry heaving. Long story short, I had to take it away from him. I could see this working for a much smaller dog, but for a heavy chewer or a large dog, the braids were too tight and easy to just shred.

My fur babies love to play with tennis balls and tug. I thought this rope had squeaky tennis balls inside of it. No balls and no squeaks. When I gave the toy to them, they sniffed it and walked away. They want nothing to do with it. I’ll make sure I read the description more carefully from now on. Waste of money.
