Great Food

I believe the food is good. The only issue is it took a full bag of dog food and a round of probiotics before my picky dogs stomach settled into the program. We

I believe the food is good. The only issue is it took a full bag of dog food and a round of probiotics before my picky dogs stomach settled into the program. We kept bathroom spray close by it was a tough 4 weeks. She is use to high quality food just wanted to try something different one dog had no issues the second one had issues.

My girls are dry food eaters. They seem to think it is a bowl of treats and this food was no different. The sucked it down in no time. It is smaller kibble which I think slows them down and it is especially fragrant. They seemed to like it so much that I considered switching their food until I saw that it was over double the price of their current dry food (which is already double the price of the cheaper foods). I actually ended up using the rest of the bag as training treats because the food is so smelly (in a good way) that they think it is treats. The ingredient list looks great and, after some research, I found that it had great ratings but the cost is too steep for me.

I have 3 dogs, all different stages of life, all different breeds. My old man is a 14 year old pitbull that was losing weight and the shine in his coat. He did not alway want to finish his regular food, which then would get gobbled up the other 2. I started adding Halo Elevate to all of their food. Copper started finishing his whole bowl with enthusiasm. All 3 dogs love the flavor and gobble it up. Their coats are shiny and they are energetic and playful. I love, love the ingredients. The food is a little pricey, but it's nutritional and calorie rich so you actuality have to feed less. It seems to be easily digestible . No gas, diarrhea or constipation. Im super pleased with this product.

Great ingredients but kibble is small and thin

For reference i have a 55lb coonhound. I got the salmon ancient grain recipe. I really liked the ingredients in this product. The first few ingredients are deboned

For reference i have a 55lb coonhound. I got the salmon ancient grain recipe. I really liked the ingredients in this product. The first few ingredients are deboned salmon, salmon meal, oats, barley, pork, pork meal. So if your dog can't have pork this one is not for you. The only questionable ingredient is natural flavors which is in the middle of the list so I'd be curious as to what that would entail. But other then that the ingredient list is a win in my book. I did not get the small dog kibble bag but the kibbles are super small and thin. I normally feed my dog zignature and the halo kibbles are less than half the size. I would say closer to a quarter of the size of regular large dog kibble which i do not like and neither does my dog. It's a huge cooking hazard for dogs who don't chew their food properly or dogs that eat quickly. If you have a dog that swallows their food whole or eats fast i recommend getting a show feed puzzle bowl. My dog likes the crunch of her food and theirs no crunch sense the kibble is so small so she was a bit disappointed. They also recommend 2.5 cups a day when i normally feed my dog 2 cups so she would be getting more food than normal. All in all this would be a good food for dogs who eat slowly and dont inhale their food
