The amounts in the table are intended as guidelines only. The food intake should be adjusted according to the age, weight and activity of your dog. It is important for your dog's health to maintain a proper body weight. Consult a veterinarian for specific weight recommendations. Puppies, and Pregnant or Nursing Females, require 2 - 3 times the Adult amounts. A reduction in food intake is recommended for less active and older dogs. Serve at room temperature. Any unused portion should be covered and refrigerated. Fresh clean water should be available at all times!
When switching your pet's diet, we recommend transitioning from the current diet to any new Natural Balance Formula over a 5 - 7 day period.
Day 1 - 2: 25% Natural Balance Formula, 75% Current Pet Formula Day 3 - 4: 50% Natural Balance Formula, 50% Current Pet Formula Day 5 - 6: 75% Natural Balance Formula, 25% Current Pet Formula Day 7: 100% Natural Balance Formula
If you do not have any of your current formula to mix, reduce the amount of formula fed for the first few days, feeding smaller more frequent meals over time. If your pet is more sensitive to change, please allow 10 - 14 days to fully transition onto the new formula.
How can I limit the ingredients my pet is exposed to?
Feeding formulas with limited ingredients is a great way to minimize their exposure to ingredients. Limited ingredient formulas have a restricted number of protein and carbohydrate sources.
How should I go about trying a limited ingredient diet for my pet?
Food trials on a limited ingredient diet should take place over at least 12 weeks using a novel protein and carbohydrate source that the pet has not had before. No other treats or food items should be fed during these first twelve weeks.
How else can I limit my pet’s exposure to certain ingredients?
Pets that can benefit from a limited ingredient diet should not have unsupervised access to human foods, garbage, or outdoor areas where they can ingest plants.

Limited, Carefully Selected Ingredients
Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet wet and dry dog foods are crafted using a single-source protein and limited carbohydrate sources for a complete and balanced blend. Great for Dogs with Allergies
By Powle on Feb 6, 2021
Our dog has allergies to many foods and chicken is the one thing she has no problems eating. Having limited ingredients I felt this was the safest option. She loves it and it has eliminated her constantly scratching . She also love the treats.

Quality of Product
By Mike on Jan 7, 2021
The contents of these cans is closer to soup or canned chili. There is no consistency. I am afraid that giving it to my dogs will cause them to get diarrhea. I cannot put their medication in it.

So Far, So Good!
By MillieP on Jan 27, 2021
I've been having problems finding wet food that doesn't upset my Cockapoo's stomach. So far, he seems to be digesting this one without any diarrhea or vomiting.

For puppy’s loose stools
By Annoyed on Aug 1, 2020
Knowing that adding some of vet’s “prescription” canned food was likely to be a permanent change in 6-month-old, 50 lb. Labradoodle’s diet, I compared ingredients among various brands and determined Natural Balance had fewer ingredients (thus, “Limited Ingredient Diets”) and, nutritionally, compared favorably with vet’s...for less money. We buy it by the case, adding 1/3 can to a lower-fat dry dog food (Blue Buffalo), 3 times/day.

My 6 year old dog was just diagnosed with pancreatitis (sp?) so I have been trying some sensitive stomach foods for her. She absolutely loves this one, I think I have a keeper!

Bo says yum , yum , yum
By Sheila48 on Jul 18, 2020
Our dog Bo has had a hard time finding a food he likes, but this was the winner!!! I had purchased the dry dog food first, in this same brand and flavor, and he took to eating it very quickly...then I decided to try the canned food in the same flavor, and that was a hit with him also. no more struggles at dinner time, Bo loves this brand and flavor!!!!

So far so good
By Molly on Sep 23, 2020
My allergy-ridden terrier is doing well with this. I’m combining it with grain free kibble and am seeing improvement in her chewing and scratching.
