The amounts in the table are intended as guidelines only. The food intake should be adjusted according to the age, weight and activity of your dog.
Puppies, and Pregnant or Nursing Females, require 2 - 3 times the Adult amounts. A reduction in food intake is recommended for less active and older dogs. Serve at room temperature. Any unused portion should be covered and refrigerated. Fresh clean water should be available at all times!
When switching your pet's diet, we recommend transitioning from the current diet to any new Natural Balance Formula over a 5 - 7 day period.
Day 1 - 2: 25% Natural Balance Formula, 75% Current Pet Formula Day 3 - 4: 50% Natural Balance Formula, 50% Current Pet Formula Day 5 - 6: 75% Natural Balance Formula, 25% Current Pet Formula Day 7: 100% Natural Balance Formula
If you do not have any of your current formula to mix, reduce the amount of formula fed for the first few days, feeding smaller more frequent meals over time. If your pet is more sensitive to change, please allow 10 - 14 days to fully transition onto the new formula.
Feeding formulas with limited ingredients is a great way to minimize their exposure to ingredients. Limited ingredient formulas have a restricted number of protein and carbohydrate sources.
Food trials on a limited ingredient diet should take place over at least 12 weeks using a novel protein and carbohydrate source that the pet has not had before. No other treats or food items should be fed during these first twelve weeks.
Pets that can benefit from a limited ingredient diet should not have unsupervised access to human foods, garbage, or outdoor areas where they can ingest plants.

Wow transitioning to dog food my dog ate it ok. When it was time for a full meal of it she turned her nose up only used four cans. Waste of my money
My dog really enjoys the Salmon & sweet potato. The smell is minimal for a canned food. My issue is that many of the cans arrive dented.
This food is perfect for our dog with food sensitivities. The texture is really easy to roll into a meatball and stuff with our dog's meds, to mix-in with her dry food, or to spread on a lick mat. She loves it and it's easy on her tummy.
My dogs love this food. Lower calorie than the one I was previously given them and is helping them keep their weight loss in track.
It’s hard to find a dog food that doesn’t have any chicken in it. This one is great and my dog loves it!
This canned food is overly wet..it is like feeding gruel to your dog. Great for those with limited teeth but not for others.
I had to try an alternative loaf after the prescription royal Canin loaf has been unavailable for a few months. This was a huge pain with GSD’s with dietary allergies. The ingredients of this looked good, the reviews were good, and it was similar to what they had (whitefish and potato) so I decided to give it a try. Two weeks in, dogs seem to like it, no dietary issues noted, no loose stool and so far so good. It’s also available so this will be my go-to option For a while until the prior stated availability concern is resolved.
Our vet recommended this for our 11 y/o Yorkie with allergies. Big bonus is it smells good. I thought canned food with fish would have a strong odor, but you mostly notice the sweet potato. The girls love it!
ALL of my Rescue pups beg for this food! Of course it is a no brainer since they have been so seriously neglected/abused but this is my go to food for ALL! High quality and delicious to them!
This is an excellent food for my dog's ongoing digestive issues and also my other senior dog. Unfortunately, this last delivery had a number of dented cans in it. I think it is not Chewy's fault but the fault lies with the delivery company.
