Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

Senior issues
By Furmama on Feb 4, 2021
My senior min pin has had issues with his digestive system lately. He will hardly eat anything now. I was really hoping this product would be the answer, but sadly, he would not even attempt to eat it. Hand feeding and kibble toppers has worked with other products, but nor with this one. He wouldn't even eat it info mixed with other food he likes (which I can't find anymore). Now I have 5 cans of food he wont eat.

Only Canned We Use
By FloraMom on Feb 18, 2021
My senior Golden Retriever / Saint Bernard mix really enjoys this. It seems to be primarily meat with little filler when serving. I purchased based on the ingredient list, coupled with Halo’s sourcing and lack of recalls.

Good stuff
By Pups on Mar 21, 2021
Their getting older and wanted something to soften up their dry food. It's ingredients are better as good as they get. It's pricey.

The best!!
By Catsa on Oct 29, 2020
I absolutely love this brand. Since my dog is older and missing some teeth due to age; I was having a hard time finding a wet dog food that she would actually eat. Sally (13 year old chihuahua) is very picky when it comes to her food. When it came time to switch her to senior food, it took some time finding the right one. I tried IAMS, Blue Buffalo, Science Diet, pedigree, Fresh Pet etc. She didn't like them. I came across this brand "Halo" wet senior dog food and thought I'd give it a try. WE FOUND A WINNER! A bit on the pricey side but it didn't matter, we found her dog food. I like the ingredients as well as she loves the flavor. Don't change it.

Great choice for picky eaters
By Halo on Jan 1, 2021
A great moist dog food for seniors. Packed with flavor they love. Excellent for mixing a tablespoon in with their dry dog food or for giving medication.

misleading packaging
By DuemDuem on Oct 5, 2020
Very disappointing to receive six cans instead of 12. Extremely expensive especially when both my dogs turned their nose up to it. I won’t be buying this product again and I think the description needs to say that it’s only six cans to a case.

Know what you are paying for.
By Sandy on Jun 21, 2020
My only gripe is that I didn’t see that a case is only 6 cans, not 12, so you’re paying almost $4. a can which is ridiculous if you have 2 big dogs like I do. So it became an expensive supplement to their regular dog food. Unless you are a food scientist you really don’t know what’s in your dog food, you just trust the ingredient list, but it smells better than most can dog foods, and looks palatable. I would give the food a 5 star, but the price a 2 star. Tip: never feed your cat (dog food) because of the excessive vitamins and minerals in dog food.

Too pricey
By Pzpy on Oct 12, 2020
Did t realize it was a 6 pack for the price of a 12 pack. My dog wasn’t crazy about it either.

Couldn't get Bea to eat
By Janie on Aug 12, 2020
Bea wouldn't eat anything...finally got Halo can dog food and she loved it. At almost 15 years old she can have whatever she wants.
