Feeding Instructions

Adult: Feed 1 oz per pound of body weight per day split into two servings.

Transition Instructions
  • Days 1 - 3: 75% non Halo food, 25% Halo

  • Days 4 - 5: 50% non Halo food, 50% Halo

  • Days 6 - 7: 25% non Halo food, 75% Halo

  • Days 8+: 100% Halo

Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

About Halo Wet Cat Food

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.

Super Digestibility

Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.

What's in Your Cat's Bowl?

With Halo, you won’t see a "meat meal" hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:

Holistic Whole Protein: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.

Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

    Humanely raised proteins, weirdly firm

    By on

I choose to start buying Halo because I am a vegetarian who doesn't love feeding my cats meat but knows it's essential for their health. I did some research into ethical pet food brands and found that Halo was the most accessable brand that totes certified humanely raised proteins. They do not source proteins from factory farms so the animals are not given unnecessary antibiotics or growth hormones. It is worth the higher price tag for the ethical treatment of animals. Halo has funky standards for the consistency of their food. Their pate food is much, much firmer than most pate foods. The stew varieties are more similar to a traditional pate. I add a little bit of extra water and mix it up with the food to prevent chronic dehydration in my cats. I prefer the "stews" just because they are easier to smash and mix with water. My cats have happily eaten every variety of Halo wet food I have given them, but they are not at all picky. They have never turned down any food I've offered them! … more

A solution for my aging cats with allergies

    By on

I have six cats aged 14, three who are 12 and two who are four. Two of my cats at least have food allergies to chicken, eggs, seafood, lamb, barley, tomatoes and corn. Finding foods without any of these ingredients that all my cats might like is a challenge, Chewy is great because it always lists ingredients and that’s how I found this. I just finished my first case of food and all my cats gobbled it up. Some of my older ones have had dental work recently and they loved the softer consistency. My next order can’t come soon enough.

    A winner with my cat!

    By on

My cat usually eats the Halo Spot's Turkey Stew, so I thought I'd try the turkey and giblets pate for a change. Well, she likes it a lot! She eats it up and then wants more. I will be buying this again.

My three cats love this food1 One is finicky and she went right to it. I was so happy to see her eat it. Not only that but Halo is all natural food and it also smells great to my nose just like human food so I know it is healthy for my three pets.

    Wrong but right

Well, I meant to order a senior diet canned food by Halo because what I had been getting was discontinued. But this kind came, indoor cat and not senior and she LOVES it. Gobbled it up pronto. So, I will continue it for now & monitor her weight & energy. She’s strictly outdoors & 11 years old.

    Happy cats

So far my cats seem to like this wet food. One of them is a very picky eater, while the other will eat just about any brand of wet food. The picky eater has allergies so it was important to find a grain free wet food that she liked. They’re already on the Halo grain free dry food, so they get the Halo grain free wet food every other night to help my budget, but to also give them wet food that all vets say cats need. I like the quality ingredients Halo uses—that’s really important to me. The food is more expensive than I’d been buying, but now that they’re getting older, I want them to have quality food to hopefully help them stay healthy for as long as possible. I wish Chewy’s sold the smaller 3 oz can size & wish that I could buy them in smaller quantities rather than the bulk size so they could try other flavors. I don’t want to buy a large quantity & then find out my cats might not like the flavor. My budget can’t afford to take the risk of wasting food. … more

Turkey & Giblets indoor cat food

    By on

My cat is 15 yrs old and very fussy eater. If she doesn't like it she won't touch it. No matter how long I leave it in her dish. She wasn't too happy with this one either.
