They source in Thailand, part of an Animal Welfare Standard that sets forth ethical treatment guidelines that helps protect livestock and cattle at the farm, during transport and at the time of processing.

Is the fish cooked or raw?
Answer by • Jul 07, 2022
The ingredients are first cooked, and the cooked food along with other ingredients are then put into the can or pouch where they are hermetically sealed.
My cat, Junie loves this flavor. What impressed me most when I opened the first can was that it had pieces of real fish (complete with skin and tiny bones) mixed in with the pate-like gravy. It looks like cat food you might make in your own kitchen! Real food, not processed little chunks of tan something or other. There is lots of moisture in it, too - great for kitties who don't drink much. I add a little filtered water and stir it up good, though. If you've ever had a cat who had urinary issues you understand why. I feel good offering this food to my little companion.

One of my cat's favorite
Kitty Gone Wild lives up to it's name! My cat goes wild when I open this one and many others by this company. Lamb Burger is another favorite along with, every now and then, Paw Licking Chicken.

Chicken Allergy Friendly
Both my little fur balls love this food.
I have one that’s allergic to chicken and finding for the doesn’t have chicken in it is tough, a lot has some form of chicken in it even if it’s a fish variety. Weruva has a few options of chickenless wet food I can give her and she horks it down as soon as I set it down.

Excellent!
This food is fantastic. My cat has never been so excited for food before. Every time I go into the kitchen she hopes that I'll bring some out for her. There were some bones inside which scared me at first but when I squeezed them with my fingers they fell apart, perfectly safe for her consumption. Chewy's staff also provided great assistance when I was concerned about it. All in all, great food and nutritionally balanced!

Very fishy!
Weruva Cats in the Kitchen is a good quality food, the Chicken Frickazee flavor looks and smells like real chicken and this variety looks and smells like real fish, with visible chunks of sardines. Let me repeat - it smells REALLY fishy. But that seems to attract the cats.
I was worried that they might not go for the big chunks, so the first time I served it to them I mashed it up a little, but they don't seem to have a problem with it. Overall, a good value and well received by my 4 furbabies. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the smell. But again... the cats like it!

Made my cat ill and mentally messed him up!
This food has a lot of fish bones, and I realized my cat was rejecting because it not only upset his stomach, but hurt his mouth and throat. Now he’s associating his kibble that is usually mixed with wet as “bad.” My normally gluttonous cat is now wary of any food or treat I give him, he thinks I’m still going to offer him this awful food everytime feeding comes. Luckily Chewy refunded my money. But now I have to donate his Essence dry kibble because he refuses to eat it, since he associates it with this wet food. He absolutely LOVED that kibble before I introduced this Weruva canned food.
Be wary of this wet food, and supervise your cat if you are feeding them the chunky fish parts. Or if you want to be safe, just pick it out and throw it out.

Holistic vet recommended
My rescue kitty has been struggling with some health issues . Our holistic vet recommended moving him to an all fish diet that is grain free . We have noticed a positive improvement in him and all our cats with weruva . I wouldn’t feed them anything else

This is a go.
My kitty loves this. The title really says it all, Kitty Gone Wild. My daughters two cats love it too. So, give it a try and I'll bet if they like fish they will like this. It's not pate or gravey, but has a consistency of softness with small chunks of fish.

Loving the Stinky Fish
My cats LOVE the Kitty Gone Wild Salmon & it is their preferred dinner each night. All I have to say is "It's stinky fish time," & they come running. I was concerned because occasionally there are a few tiny bones, but like my vet said... cats in the wild eat bones all the time.

We Love It
All 3 of us love these little 2.8oz cans of stew. We each get our our can, on our own plates, and it tastes pretty good, too. Keep sending all the flavors!
