It says MADE IN AMERICA.....SO....is it sourced in America? Or do any ingredient s come from China or forgien countries???
Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2018
All the ingredients are sourced in the United States.

It says no animal byproduct meal and then the ingredients say chicken meal. What does that mean?
Answer by ChewySep 13, 2020
Chicken meal is made up of chicken that has been ground and cooked, reducing the fat content to create a protein-rich ingredient. It’s high in protein and amino acids to help strengthen and maintain your pet’s muscles. It’s also a high-quality source of glucosamine for joint health. Chicken meal does not include feathers, heads, feet or entrails.

I use the Grain-free Whitefish & egg for my two cats (one has asthma). I'd like to switch up to the Grain free Salmon, Egg & Sweet Potato. Do I have to mix the two or are they similar enough to just switch over?
Answer by ChewyMay 13, 2018
For any food transition it is recommended to gradually move onto the new food over a 7-10 day period. With these recipe's being fairly similar the transition should go smoothly, depending upon the sensitivity of your individual pet's.

Made cats vomit

This food made several of my cats vomit, and honestly I think part of the problem is the pieces are the size of dog food!! Some of my cats refused to even eat this. I am switching back to previous brand. Not sure why companies are still making grain free pet foods, animals need grains for a healthy heart!!

Made him Vomit

I have one 14yr old cat, Poof, who will eat anything, & one 4yr old, kuku, who is very picky. Kuku turned his nose up at this food & I brushed it off because he does that with 50% of what I offer him. Poof gobbled it down. Mind you, I gave him about 10 pieces of kibble because I did not want to upset his stomach with something new. The next day Poof puked 3x. At first I did not connect it to the new food because 1. I barely gave him any, & 2. he has cancer & his GI system is more sensitive (which is why I bought this food with probiotics in the first place). I offered both kitties some more the next day. Kuku passed on it again & Poof gobbled it up. I gave him about 20 pieces this time mixed in with his old food. Later that night Poof puked. I stopped giving him the new food. The next day he puked all of his food within 5 mins & was hiding. I'm disappointed that it made him sick. I don't even want to donate it to a shelter because I don't want other kitties getting sick. It's trash.

Made 1 car better, made other cat sick.

The cat that was having weekly hairballs has not had one in the 2 weeks since we started this food! Yay! The cat that was NOT sick has been very sick after trying this food. Bad throwing up every other or 3rd day. I thought maybe he got poisoned! He never had hairballs before but now throws up huge ones. Going back to old food and will try hairballs treats for original problem child. I wouldn't recommend this food.

Both my guys love it!

I had been feeding them Purina Naturals Original Formula, but I decided to try this and they are just mad about it. I actually had to start serving smaller amounts because they scarfed it so fast.

Causes cat to vomit

Bought this not realizing there's cellulose filler. My cat LOVED it and actually snubbed their wet for for this. And then immediately vomited it. Everywhere. Every time.

Finicky Cat Loves It!

My 12 year old female cat gets bored with the same diet year after year. Every 2-3 years she starts eating less and less to communicate her desire for a diet change. I did my research and chose Purina Beyond for it's grain free formula that has all USA ingredients as well as made in the USA. She is again enjoying her food.

Everyone loves this food.

I sprinkle this over their other Purina salmon flavored food. The gang will pick off all of these pieces before eating the other food.

None of my fur babies like this

My cats love the salmon and brown rice formula, so I figured they'd love this one too. I was so wrong! No one will eat this. I'll just have to order multiple bags of the other one since it doesn't come in a large bag.

Beyond brand wins us over !!

My sweet girl Lily likes to have dry food to nibble on between meals. Beyond works great for her. The limited ingredients meet our approval, no grains or byproducts, the price is good, Lily likes the taste and the smaller bite size pieces. It also doesnt contain artificial colors or preservatives. Lily hasnt had any adverse reactions such as vomiting after meals since changing to Beyond. Lesson learned is fancy advertising or high prices doesnt equal high quality, read the ingredient labels before choosing your pets food.

Great dry food.

We leave this food out for our cats. They eat canned food mainly but love this as well. One of them comes running when we open the cat food container to refill the bowl.He thinks it's a treat.
