How can the dimensions of the large size be smaller in width and length than those of the medium size?

Love the bed, hate the cushion

I'm very impressed with the look and size of the medium bed, but the cushion it comes with leaves a lot to be desired. It's very thin and floppy, and I don't think

I'm very impressed with the look and size of the medium bed, but the cushion it comes with leaves a lot to be desired. It's very thin and floppy, and I don't think it would be very comfortable. My cat is picky and doesn't love the cushion. Thankfully, an 18 inch chair cushion fits well, so I'll be replacing it with a nice chair cushion with memory foam. It's going to cost me an extra $20, but if it keeps my kitty comfy AND she uses it, I'm ok with a small alteration. (7 pound, 1.5 year old British Shorthair for comparison with the Medium sized bed

It's a good size for older cats, it's seems comfy and they love it, I own 3 cats and they have more beds, but they like that one, I got a good discount for the bed,

Cute but pokey

This is adorable, my Maine Coons just barely fit in the large and the inside has some pieces of rattan that are pretty sharp and pokey.
