Our cockatiel is a senior citizen and has lived healthily for many years on Harrison’s Adult Lifetime Fine pellets supplemented with fresh greens, veggies and occasional fruit. Recently a small injury to one toe caused him to be less chipper and affected his appetite. A trip to the vet identified his problem but also revealed he had lost weight. The vet recommended adding a higher potency/higher fat food to his diet temporarily. We ordered Harrison’s High Potency Fine (usually used to help transition birds from a high-fat seed diet to healthier pellets). We used the High Potency version for a couple of weeks, then after our little guy approached his normal weight, the vet suggested a blend of 25% High Potency to 75% Adult Lifetime. We’ll stay on that for awhile. Harrison’s makes high quality pellets in a variety of sizes. The “fine” size is perfect for cockatiels.

Not for parrotlets!

It was my mistake. I thought since they were similar size to a lovebird and budgie, I could give them this pellet, but it's too large for them. I tried grinding it but it doesn't grind properly either. this is of no fault of the brand. On further inspection, "super fine" literally has parrotlets on the description. I didn't know .

African Gray likes it.

My AG had a crack in her beak years ago Harrisons has a mash that I used a syringe to feed her. I just stuck with the brand but changed the size. I feel its better

My veterinarian recommended these pellets, and my birds love them. I have an older cockatiel that came to me with liver and immune system issues, and seen a notable change in his health since we switched to these. My other two cockatiels seem to have better feather health as well.

Harrison's is the only pellets (out of a few we've tried) that both my Pigeon and Cockatiel will eat. They just ignore the other pellets I've tried from the local stores. These keep my Pigeon "regular", as he gets runny poops if he runs out and just eats seeds. I am guessing because he only picks out the tasty seeds and I suspect too much safflower gives him indigestion or too much protein for his liver to handle. I always keep a separate cup full of Harrison's, and one cup with a rationed amount of seeds for the day. Keeps them balanced and makes sure they aren't just pigging out on one type of seeds.

I get auto shipments for my dog and pig food through here and thought I’d also add my bird food pellets until I noticed the price difference. When I buy through Harrison’s Amz store it’s 6 dollars cheaper for the exact same bag. What gives? Do better bestie.

It took a long time to find a food for my parrotlet with no sugar AND no salt. All food that I looked at had sugar and food that didn’t have sugar, had salt. Harrison’s is perfect, and I’ve been feeding it to her since I brought her home 6 years ago when she was just 8 weeks old. She is a very happy, healthy little bird!

Bird wouldn't eat it

He would smell it then move away.
