I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but that feed is bad . I know it’s pretty cheap for organic food, but I still expect ingredients that stated in description. What is that black powder in my chicken food ???? I already talked to chewy and they are extremely helpful, but while I was waiting for different food to be delivered my birds had to eat that for a few days . That black dust that turns into sticky mud and attracts thousands of flies . Never had that before .

Ok, not sure yet.

I see a lot of powder and little substance. We will see how the chickens do with it. We are happy to find an organic product!

Too finely ground, too much wasted

There seems to be a lot of "powdery" component to this feed which gets wasted. It looks like maybe finely ground herbs? They seemed to like it ok but o felt that

This was the worst chicken food I've ever bought. The bag had very little grain and was literally mostly dust that clogged up the feeder and that the chickens can't eat anyway. Had to keep scooping it out and add water to make it into a mash. Extremely annoying, tons of waste, will never buy again!

Mostly Dust

I opened the bag and it was just a bag of dust with a few seeds mixed in. I ordered a different brand to replace it. I can't feed this to my girls.

I read what Chewy wrote for this feed: "Ingredient Information Ingredients Made with Good Stuff for Your Hens, like: Organic Corn, Organic Wheat, Organic Oats, Organic Barley and Organic Peas.", and I thought I would be getting quality food and save a buck. But I receive the product and read the first two ingredients are Corn and Canola Meal. In my opinion, this is garbage compared to the mix I am currently feeding my hens: Organic Wheat, Organic Peas, Organic Barley, Limestone, Organic Flaxseed Meal, Poultry Vitamin and Mineral Premix, Fish Meal, Organic Sunflower Oil. I lost my desire to use Chewy because I feel that I was deceived.

So-So

The girls initially loved it. Then they quit.. I now mix in with it in the wet crumbles that I feed my special needs girl.

I bought this because my chickens like the scratch more than the pellets. Typically I get scratch and peck, which is my favorite, but it’s so expensive, so I decided to try Hen Up. It looked like good whole grains. Upon receiving it, it is mostly powder with some larger grain in it. Make it pretty hard for chickens to eat. Will not be purchasing this again.
