Chickens don’t like this

I usually feed a base of henhouse reserve and my hens love it, I added this food and it’s all left in the food bowl. They act like they don’t have food, I won’t

I usually feed a base of henhouse reserve and my hens love it, I added this food and it’s all left in the food bowl. They act like they don’t have food, I won’t rebuy this again. I’ve feed this food before and they ate it much better, not sure what is different. My egg production dropped from 8-10 eggs a day to 5 eggs a day when feeding this. I’ll try to ferment it to see if they will take it that way so I didn’t waste my money.

Love this feed. Chickens agree.

Chickens readily eat this and don’t throw it around and waste it. Chickens look good and eggs are nice and strong. Seems to give them all they need.

Not Really Worth It.

This layer feed is just too expensive, in my opinion, and not worthwhile. I was hoping to up the quality of my eggs by changing my hens’ diet to organic only. Obviously,

This layer feed is just too expensive, in my opinion, and not worthwhile. I was hoping to up the quality of my eggs by changing my hens’ diet to organic only. Obviously, this would be an expensive change, but I experimented. What I found was that although my hens would lay healthy and nicely sized eggs, they’d also do the exact same with an inorganic feed that was labeled to be ‘Natural’. Honestly, I don’t really know the difference between a ‘natural product’ and an ‘organic product’. My hens know far less about the matter. They only really care about how tasty their food is! My job is to provide my chickens with a healthy and clean diet. If you have the money to spend on organic food for your hens, then by all means DO IT. I would. However, for me and my flock, we’ll get by just fine with a cheaper alternative that is also healthy. I can only hope that in the future, I will be able to afford this organic brand and feed it to my hens every week!

Hens love it!

I really wanted to feed my girls organic but it really can be pricey. A local veterinarian recommended this brand & the price is half of what I had been paying

I really wanted to feed my girls organic but it really can be pricey. A local veterinarian recommended this brand & the price is half of what I had been paying. All my hens seem to love the food. Most laying pretty consistently with the amount each breed lays. I’ve gone through 2 bags so far. Think I have finally found the food I’ll be sticking with!

This seemed like a great idea, organic, crumbles that might be more digestible than pellets, had high ratings. But the bag was half dust and the girls couldn't be bothered to hunt for the solids. Complete waste of money for my chickens. Someone else's experience might differ. I'm disappointed, as I had high hopes for this feed.
