Pale yolks :(

Ever since switching to this feed, my girls’ yolks are all much more pale. I am disappointed because I loved that this is organic and had kelp for omegas.

Good size pellet for bantam breeds

When I’m feeding a different aged group of bantams I use it so younger birds don’t eat the pellets it gives the older laying birds what they need

Good feed but....

Wish the pellets were a little smaller like Eggland's Best mini pellets.

I love this product. It is high quality (no weird foreign material noted). The birds love it. And it is a great size to transition the grow outs from crumble to pellets. I don't have any bantams, but I bet it would be great for them. But it is also fine for ALL ages of chickens. I wish all pellets were this size.

I tried this feed on my mixed flock of chickens and guineas. Pellets were smaller than the ones from the feed I usually get, and the was ok since my chickens are mostly bantams (small chickens). Both the chickens and the guineas seem to like this food. The pellets were easy for them to eat. This came in a 40 pound bag where I am used to buying my chicken feed in 50 pound bags so it didn’t last as long as it could have. When I got down to the bottom of the bag, I was pleased to see that there was very little of the feed that had been crushed To a powder. All in all, I would recommend this feed, but mostly to people who have smaller flocks because of the size of the bag.

When opening this bag of food I was happy to see that the food consisted of large pellets and zero dust. While observing the pellets I can see pieces of corn throughout the pellets along with other ingredients. Even though I was happy with how it looked my hens had other thoughts. When offered this food they just picked at it and walked away uninterested. After offering it to them for a couple days they still were uninterested. My hens are used to crumble chicken feed so maybe they dislike this food due to it being a pellet feed. It is worth trying out though.
