Quick release buckle

I love the quality of a herm sprenger collar. They last for years and with multiple dogs. The reason I put this collar at a 3 star is due to it constantly sticking

I love the quality of a herm sprenger collar. They last for years and with multiple dogs. The reason I put this collar at a 3 star is due to it constantly sticking awkwardly in my dogs hair. It is properly fitted and used. My old collar, which I can no longer squeeze open and shut due to my hands, does not do this.

I have a 75 pound Dutch Shepherd, who is an adolescent right now. I am a 68 year-old female, who is disabled. This collar helps to keep him in check when he gets overly excited and forgets his commands. Rarely do I ever have to tug on him. But once in a while, I will need to get his attention to keep one of us from getting injured. I bought the smaller prongs and I’m always careful that the collar is in the right position on his neck. This collar is just a reminder to pay attention.

This collar is helpful until it falls off. I have lost several of these collars. The dog is walking along and the collar just unhooks and falls off. Apparently to keep it on, it is necessary to make it very tight. Then it is almost impossible to get hooked. I have never had this problem with prong collars in 40 years of use until now.

The ClicLock latch made it very easy to put the collar on Sting. The prong collar made it much easier to control Sting. Sting is 85 lbs and very strong. When he sees wildlife, his natural impulse is to go after it. This collar is a blessing. For those put off by prong collars, they have rounded points on the prong and they are not going to hurt the dog.
