  • LUKKUS HATED THIS DRY FOOD & THE K/D TREATS

    By on

SINCE "LUKKUS" (MIN. SCHNAUZER) WAS A PUPPY HE HAS BEEN EATING ACANA AND ORIGEN DRY FOOD WITH WARM WATER & HEALTHY HOME COOKED FOODS ADDED, HE LOVES TO EAT BUT K/D DRY FOOD & TREATS DID NOT PASS. I AM A NURSE & AN ANIMAL BEHAVIORIST/TRAINER/NUTRITIONIST SO I TRIED EVERYTHING TO ENCOURAGE HIM TO EAT BUT TO NO AVAIL. I FINALLY TRIED MIXING IT WITH THE K/D CANNED CHICKEN & VEG. STEW, HE ATE THE CANNED FOOD BUT SPIT OUT EACH PIECE OF THE DRY DOG FOOD. I WOULD NEVER GIVE MY PETS CANNED FOOD BUT SINCE THIS IS A MEDICAL CONCERN I HAVE TO STICK WITH THE DIET THE VET REQUESTED. I AM REALLY UNSURE OF THE QUALITY AND THE LACK OF NUTRITION THAT THIS FOOD DOES NOT OFFER. I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO PUR SINCE "LUKKUS" (MIN. I just want to thank Chewy .com for making something sad very easy to deal with. Just found out that my Gracie has Acute Kidney Failure and was told we needed to change her diet. So I got food from the Vet but saw that Chewy.com has more of an assortement on KD products then anybody. They have multiple flavors of canned food, Snacks and of course the dry Food. Just wished that the can KD came in an assorted variety , since one has to order a case .So I ordered from there and was told it needed a prescription from the Vet as I was placing my order online. It was made so easy I just put in Vets info and Chewy.com did all the rest. I am having a hard enough time trying to wrap my head around the diagnosis. You guy's and Girls are the best. … more

  • Great food!

Jeep, our German Shepherd, has been eating his new diet ravenously and begging for more. The only problem we have with it is the extremely high cost.

  • She eats this!

    By on

My 13 year old Border Collie has always been a picky eater. When she needed kidney food it was worse. I tried many different kinds. Most she wouldn’t touch. She really likes the canned KD. When I saw there was dry KD with mobility I decide to give it a try, since she also has arthritis. She really likes this food!

Hill's Science Diet - along with Epikitin - seems to have really slowed down the progression of this disease in my Senior Dobie. She has not lost any more weight since I put her on this food. Good Stuff!!

  • Kidney Support Plus Joint Care is a Great Combination

    By on

This came quickly, the dog likes it and we are hoping that her lab work at the next check up will reflect that it is helping. I really like the benefits of the kidney support diet plus the additional benefits for joints and my vet really likes this food (and brand). My dog is 17 and is starting to experience age-related conditions so I am happy to have nutrition that will complement what the veterinarian is giving her. I also like that there has been a lot of research that goes into Hill's products.
