My old blue buffalo wilderness changed recipe (new recipes have all the bad reviews), and I had no choice but to find another brand. So I switched back to Science Diet when my dog had it for a few years when he was a puppy. I switched slowly, took 10 days gradually to avoid any issues. Sadly to find out, his poop was not solid anymore, and he tends to only poop once a day, which was never the case in his past 9 years of life (always twice a day) and I’ve never seen his poop is like that. Definitely not the one for my dog.
Great dog food. But over the last year the food has gone up in price and now is 10 dollars more a bag then it was in February. Only complaint is chewys not giving owners a heads up that the price was going to increase by 10 dollars overnight. Just the common courtesy would have been nice. Now I check before our auto ships is sent out on what the price is.
I did not realize there was byproducts and other undesirable ingredients. I won’t be feeding him this any more
I have two different-energy dogs who are about 13 years old. My lower-energy beagle mix reacted well to this food and was more active in playtime. My higher-energy Border Collie mix dog reacted with anxious behavior for a month and was destructive when left alone at home (which she has done on other high protein foods, too) so I put her back on Science Diet 7+ Chicken and Rice.
My 14 year old mix loves this food his got the spring back in his step and his pooping normally now
I am happy with the new senior vitality food, thus far. Have been feeding it to my 2 14yo pups for a few months now.
17 year old dog has always been a picky eater but is agreeable to the small bite size dry dogfood
This food is great for senior dogs. It’s not as hard for them to eat. Love chewy. I can always depend on them for promptness.
I wanted to give my dog a little variety in her diet and not give her just beef all of the time. She is 8+ years old, so she needs a senior diet. She dove right into this the first time I gave it to her. She loves it and always wants more.
Always helpful and reliable
