The dog I bought this for is a 16.5 year old Yorkie. He was fully toothless when I adopted him 6 years ago. He was on Instinct (grain free, but switched to with grain a few months ago), but I decided to try a different brand. I chose this variety since it has tiny kibble and is formulated for senior dogs. My dog loves it. Ate it without hesitation, and actually ate it more willingly than he did the Instinct kibble. I had starting to wet the Instinct kibble back in January since he was having a harder time eating, but I haven’t needed to do that once with Hill’s. Happy to have given this a try and even happier that my little old man is eating better and easier.
I have always had several basset hounds which are chow hounds. I am now down to only one and she has turned picky because of the lack of competition for food. I have gone through several bags of kibble to try and find one she likes. This one is THE WINNER!!!
I have had my girl on this a week. She seems to like it, but as far as medical benefits; won't know until her next vet visit and blood tests. If she loses some weight, that would make the vet and me happy. Will let you know ;0)
My eight year old dog thrives on Hill's Science Diet for seniors. She loves it!
I cautiously ordered this because the one with chicken meal didn’t work for my Shih Tzu. This one is good although I am easing him into it this time. I like the ingredients of this vitality mix and I think it’s going to work great. Thanks!
I always luv ordering from Chewy! Greattttt customer service
Chewy is the best online business I've dealt with. Always there when you call.
This works perfect for my 2 senior chihuahuas.
My 14 year old shih tzu has gotten so picky and refuses to eat any of the foods he used to love. I desperately tried this senior food from Hill’s and when the package arrived, I put a handful in front of him and he ate it all!
Delivery was quick, only 2 days. My Barney likes this food. It is so much easier for him to chew since he has had some teeth pulled. I like the fact that the first ingredient is chicken. He weighs 20 pounds, but I don't give him the 1 1/3 cups the directions say to give him; he wasn't eating all of it. I cut him down to 1 cup and he finishes it up.
