My cats were puking up everything. No matter what I fed them. They are slowly moving to the Hill's. But even half and half ... no more puking. I'm not sure they are caring for the taste so much, but each day they eat a little more. This food is a life saver for not finding piles of hairballs and vomit everywhere. Only 4 stars because I'm not sure they are caring for the taste. It's been a lifesaver for my carpet and I'm sure their bellies!
Not for my picky eater
I ordered this, and the lite version (Hoping to be sneaky and mix the two), but my cat won’t even go for the regular version. She is, admittedly, very picky.
Hill’s Chicken flavor hairball control
Excellent food that lives up to its name! No hairball problems. Yay! Also, my cats usually only like fish (especially tuna fish) flavored food, but they really like this food. I was pleasantly surprised and will be buying it again.
My boy can’t get enough of this food! He lets me know every morning (at around 4:00am) that it’s time for me to put some in his bowl! At his two year check up His vet said he didn’t know what I was doing but to keep on doing it. I attribute this and Apollo’s good health to Hill’s Science. If you think you may need a change of food please check them out. There are many recipes to choose from.
my review that must be 50 character long that's a lot of characters you know what I mean its a great product though
Sadly cats won’t eat it
I got a couple bags of this cat food for my two indoor cats, because we’ve fed our dog Science Diet with great success. Unfortunately both cats sniff and walk away from their bowl. The kibble bits also seem very large, which may be another reason my cats won’t eat it.
Not sure it will work
When you were out of Purina One Hairball formula kibble, there was only Hills Science Hairball available. I have tried to integrate it with the last of my Purina but it's always the last left in the bowl. Rather than the taste, I think it could be the size of the kibble which is quite a lot bigger than Purina One and harder to chew. It is uniform in size but more of a round ball as opposed to the flat kibble of Purina One...... and it's a lot more expensive. Not sure my cat will grow to like it; otherwise it's a donation to the local Humane Society.
My girl loves this food and she is 'picky, picky' about food! Just wish she would chew it rather than swallow it.
What a relief!
My cat had been experiencing digestive difficulty that even the vet couldn't quite resolve. I switched to this cat food to see if it would make a difference in the frequent vomiting. I was totally surprised by how much better he is now. Even the Rx food wasn't working before.
Our cats are 15 years old and have been eating science diet their whole lives.
