I have a Labrador retriever who is 10 months old. should I continue with the puppy large breed food or switch him to adult large breed. thanks

This recipe is recommended for adult dogs. Puppies mature into adults at a different time. A large dog breed will mature into an adult at about 12 - 15 months.
How many calories in the hills science diet large breed dog food
Answer by • Jul 10, 2020
This diet has a caloric content of 363 kcal per 8-oz cup.
I am completely happy with the food itself. My dogs have been on it for 2-ish years after being extremely picky and not wanting to eat anything, they LOVED this food and it’s been a lifesaver. They’ve been perfectly healthy with great vet visits, no issues. I only comment and leave off one star because I hope that someone with Hills sees this. I am realizing that the price of this food has increased dramatically over the past two years. I’ve just had it on auto-ship and haven’t paid too much attention, my fault. I take blame for that. But I looked back and it’s increased roughly around $20 from the beginning of 2021. That’s a significant cost difference, and now I’m going to be forced to look for a different food and HOPE that my dogs will eat it. :(

Terrible Stomach Issues with 4 Yr Old Lab
Switched to this food from Purina One thinking it would be better quality for perfectly healthy 4 Yr old lab with no issues. Caused extreme bloating, gas, and general malaise. We stuck with it for 2/3 of a 35 lb bag but he never adjusted. Threw the remainder away and switched back to Purina One and now he is back to normal. Very disappointing and a waste of money. We have never had trouble switching food in 20+ years of dog ownership until this.

Dogs Refuse to Eat
My golden retrievers would not eat this food. All four of them walked away from it. I tried Science Diet years ago and had the same reaction from my dogs, but thought maybe the formula may have been changed and they would like it.

My 18 month old bouvier des Flandres has done great on this food so far. Her coat seems healthier, she has more energy (help), and her stools seem much healthier. I have since transitioned all three of my pooches to Hill’s Science Diet.

Not compatible
I invested in this food to support and dog with sensitive skin and allergies. I loved the large bag size and the size of the food for crunching. Unfortunately, he has not settled well with this food after a week of transition from the old food and another week fully on it. 3 throw ups this week. I am able to get him to eat it with a few pumps of fish oil on it. There must be something in it his system finds irritating. Very unfortunate.

Yummy
My beautiful really large and very sweet Rotti has done well moving to big boy food. I have been blending the puppy food with the new food so we had no tummy issues.

Science diet large breed chicken flavor
I have a Bernese mountain dog of 14 months old. Since from day one I fed him the science diet and recently I changed from lamb flavor to chicken, since then he is not at all eating his meals. He used to eat chicken flavored puppy food but he is resisting to adult chicken flavor. Now I don't know what to do with this 35 pounds dog food.
