This is the food my vet recommended for my diabetic dog. Since switching, his bg has finally stabilized. We are very happy with the lower fat, higher fiber content. And he actually loves the taste also!

Science Diet is a good brand, but...

I got this because chewy didn't have the food i normally get. I have a dog i feed weight management dry food. It is often unavailable, so i tried something new

I got this because chewy didn't have the food i normally get. I have a dog i feed weight management dry food. It is often unavailable, so i tried something new. Unfortunately, every other food i feed her makes her put on weight and scratch.

Bad batch of bag

Our Tessa has been eating this food for over 3 years. This bag must have been part of a bad batch. She would not touch it. We had to purchase another bag locally

I have a 3yo, 7.5lb mini dachshund that lives a relatively active lifestyle. She goes for long daily walks in the city, and hikes several times a month. With her daily caloric allowance being so small, it was hard to find a food that was ACTUALLY low calorie, but still high quality. After months of using this food, I can safely say that it’s a winner. Lily remains strong, energetic, her coat is INCREDIBLY soft, no more constipation, and she even chews on her paws a lot less. More importantly, she has a healthy, lean body that her dr is happy with. And the best part as far as Lily’s POV goes, is she gets to eat a higher volume since it is low cal, so she stays full and never begs. :)

The dog likes it

I had to switch to a light dog food when she started to gain too much weight from having to take 6 pills a day. The vet suggested this one. She has always been picky

I had to switch to a light dog food when she started to gain too much weight from having to take 6 pills a day. The vet suggested this one. She has always been picky about eating and I had to coax her to eat her food and take her pill pockets by using cheese, chicken broth, canned food, liverwurst, and even sprinkling grated Parmesan/Romano cheese on them, which would work for a while and then she would want to refuse to eat again after the novelty wore off. I was surprised that she actually does eat this since I switched her to it. And I also switched her from Greenies pill pockets to Milk Bone pill pouches, which have fewer calories and she DOES like those without the extra junk, so she seems to have lost some weight. She is not a small dog, but likes the smaller nuggets, too.

My kibble arrived yesterday and when I opened the box one of the bags of kibble had burst open and spilled all in the box . Who ever packed it put the bags on their side instead of flat as they usually do . This caused the bag to burst open . Who ever packed them that way should pay for my bag of wasted kibble .I don't appreciate their just throwing the bags in the box any which way . any normally sane person knows to lay the bags flat , not on their side .

One of my Frenchies will barely touch it. I have to put something on top of it to get her to eat it. The kibble is very small. Not sure this was the best choice
