How long is this can fresh after opened and refrigerated? We use this as an add-in to dry kibble (picky eater) and usually don't go through the whole can for a few days or so. Is it still safe to eat?
Answer by • Nov 05, 2019
Your pet's bowl should be emptied of moist or canned food not eaten by your cat or dog within 4 hours if the ambient temperature is above 50°F. Opened cans should be stored in the fridge, at temperatures between 40-45°F, for a maximum of 5-7 days. Any cat or dog food remaining after that time should be thrown out.
What is the maximum CRUDE FAT on a DM (Dry Matter) basis of this canned wet food?
Answer by • Jul 30, 2019
This formula has a fat content of 12.1% on a dry matter basis.
What is the max fat % and total moisture %
Thank you!
Answer by • May 30, 2019
Hill's canned foods have a moisture content between 70 and 80%. The recipes are formulated to target the minimum fat content that is provided in the Guaranteed Analysis, any deviation from this as-fed percentage would be minimal. Please speak with your veterinarian to ensure this value is low enough to be a suitable diet for your pet.
What does "on a dry matter basis" mean?
Answer by • Apr 05, 2018
Dry matter basis refers to feed contents, such as minerals and nutrients, excluding its water content.
I have owned dogs for more than 60 years. I’ve always had many dogs of different breeds and sizes. This is the first time that all of my dogs went crazy for their food. I mixed it with the dry food and they go nuts over it. Thanks for making a healthy food that my dogs can’t wait to eat

The Dog Food
We feed our dog Hills science diet and usually bought the food from the pet store but they rarely have the entree canned food. They usually only have the stew. At Chewy.com they have both and our dog loves it.

Ugh loaf
I thought this was the stew, it’s not. It’s loaf and I wish the labels were more clear

Good but not quite as expected
My dog likes the chicken and vegetable stew as he does all the Hill's Science diet wet foods. My only (minor) problem is I chose "stew" and this comes in a more of a whipped paste form. Cody doesn't seem to mind. It's just not what I expected.

Ordered or received the wrong kind. Murphy likes the stew much better. When the product was unavailable, and auto shop was updated, it was incorrect.

This is a good product however I ordered the wrong product. My dog likes the chicken & vegetables stew instead of the chicken & vegetables entree.

My fault
I ordered this chicken entree, but I usually order the stew. My corgis won't eat it. Chewy did send what I ordered so I can't fault them.

Very Happy with this dog food!
My Beagle/Hound mix was pushing 60# May of 2022, this food was recommended by my Veterinarian, since May of 2022 he is down to 36 pounds. He loves this food and I had no issues transitioning him. Slow and steady weight loss is best for dogs and cats alike.READ the instructions on the can! I have found NO ISSUES with the food being too dry or too moist. The vegetable
/chicken variety has LESS Kcal than the chicken/vegetable. Long story short, diet AND exercise you will see results.
