Great but pricey
I really believe that the Hills brand is a good brand and have been feeding it to my dog since I got him as a puppy. My only complaint is that back in May 2023 I could get the 28.5 lbs bags and it was cheaper than what I am now paying for the 25 lbs bags. I understand inflation and the cost of everything has gone up but to shrink the size and charge more is just wrong. I'm sure it is most likely due to the manufacturers increase in price but I just feel like it is wrong.
Competitive Pricing to Your Door
Could not believe how fast I received my shipment! I ordered from Chewy after comparing prices at local stores. Expected it to take some time to get here so was going to make a trip and get a small bag of food to hold me over....no need...I received my shipment the next day. Highly recommend using Chewy. Babies love the food and it's working its magic with their weight.
Works, but expensive
Our 11 year old lab loves this food (though she loves ALL food), and this specific brand and type has maintained her weight better than others including Natures Recipe. If it didn’t work so well, I wouldn’t spend this much on a dog food.
happy weight loss
we started our two dogs on this specific type of dog food a few months ago. Our vet mentioned they could each lose a few pounds and of course like any pet owner we take vets advice seriously. There was little to no hesitation from the dogs when switching food and they’ve both successfully lost the weight and are healthy as can be.
Good food but sneaky price increases
My senior dog struggles with her weight due to the medication she takes. She was on the hills prescription diet weight management for awhile and when she got to her ideal weight I switched to this to save money. She likes the food and it has helped maintain her weight but since last year it’s continued to go up in price and I just noticed the bags are now 25lbs instead of 28.5lbs for the same price. I had the 28.5lb bag on auto ship and it was replaced with the smaller bag with no notice. I love Chewy and this is not their fault, it’s just unfortunate that Hills tried to hide a price increase by making the bag smaller instead of raising the price on the 28.5lb bag and being transparent about it. Hopefully I can find another food that works for my dog because the cost of this food is getting crazy.

Aspen is a Golden Retriever who LOVES to eat! She is quite fond of Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight. She has lost some extra bulk, stayed healthy and beautiful on it. Thank you Chewy for your product and delivery service!
My dog loves this!
My dog's dogtor recommended this to help him lose weight. He absolutely loves this food! After slowly mixing it with his old food (to avoid tummy upset), he is now only on Science Diet. It is a bit pricey, but the health benefits exceeds this. We decided to also try Science Diet's treats and he is crazy about them too!

This gives our dog the volume she wants but not the calories. Good solution for us. We've been using this for a couple of years. Lots of fiber and well formed stools easy to pick up
Hills Perfect weight chicken recipe!
Our 12 and a half year old Labrador Hutch loves this dog food mixed with green beans and mixed with Hills soft hearty vegetable stew. It keeps him healthy and also gives him satisfaction. It also provides him with a nice easy bowel movement. We love that chewy drops our food off to our door. Thankful!
