Is this for preventative also or only an active furball? My cat gets a furball about once a month. She has no trouble throwing it up but I’d like to prevent them. Is this used daily?
Answer by ChewyJun 27, 2022
This supplement can be safely used long term. Once a response is seen, the administration should be reduced to 2 times daily and eventually once daily. When symptoms clear up, discontinue use. If reduction causes symptoms to worsen, original dosing may be continued a little longer before reducing. If a remedy is working well and dosing is not reduced, an aggravation of symptoms from overuse may occur. Stopping the remedy for 3 days will reverse the symptoms, and then treatment can begin as if using for the first time, weaning down as mentioned above.

Is this supplement an approved veterinary product according to the FDA?
Answer by ChewyJul 10, 2020
The HomeoPet is manufactured under FDA Good Manufacturing Practice protocols using an FDA-registered process.

Is this supplement safe for dogs too?
Answer by ChewyNov 06, 2022
This supplement is intended for cats only.

Helped my poor kitty

The oil is easy to use and my cat loves it when I put it in his food. The only complaint I have is that he had hair balls ready bad and because of it he didn’t want to clean his fur and it took 3 weeks to see results. But it help him in the end and he seem to want to clean himself again.

Excellent stuff

I have a cat with birth defects, and she was constantly wheezing and hacking. She did not cough up Hairballs, though. I found Furball in a store and decided to try it. The change was amazing! It worked in 48 hours. I put only 5 drops in her drinking water about twice a week now, and that seems to keep her nominal. I cannot find it in stores anymore, so it is nice that Chewy has fast shipping. I ordered on a Saturday, and it arrived Monday morning. I will definitely be ordering more Homeopet products from Chewy in the near future.

Works! oooooooooo

My cat was coughing from furballs on a daily basis. I didn’t want to get a gel type of treatment for him to consume because those have been messy and unwelcome in the past. With this, over the course of about 5 days, I’ve seen him cough less and less, to the point of not coughing anymore. I’m amazed and so pleased. It’s so easy to administer — I just add it to the top of his food — and it’s undetectable.

Best results I've had

One of my cats has a chronic hairball problem, even after brushing and brushing. I've tried every gel and treat with minimal results. This tiny bottle seems to be working. I can drop 5 drops onto her wet food and she eats without complaint. Hairballs not gone, but much less frequent.

It Works For My Girls

I purchased this, not knowing if it was going to work. My girls are 17 and 13 years old, and they are throwing up hair balls a lot. I out 8 drops in their water and it has stopped their vomiting.

Love Homeopet

I’ve used several of the Homeopet products for my cats, and they all have worked very well. Since I started using the furball remedy, our cats have made far fewer messes. Today, there were no hair balls that needed to be cleaned up. Their Wrm Clr is also very effective. These are safe and help me feel confident that they will only affect my pets in a positive way.

Happy it works!

My little cat was recently throwing up hairballs and/or white foam at odd hours of the morning on and off for about two weeks. It concerned me. Her recent vet visit was excellent, and all the medical panels were clear, so I decided to try the homeopathic route. When dosed as suggested- five drops two to three times daily- this does it’s job without harmful side effects. And the morning hairball situation has, fortunately, stopped! I showed it to my vet, and he said if it works, there’s no harm in using it. I’m personally happy I found this and I’d recommend it to any pet lovers experiencing the same problem.
