It may work for your cat but didn’t for mine, I put it in my cats pate or broths since she has pain while eating dry food. Thought this product could help but it didn’t , oh well it did not really help with her bad breath either. I would use this as a preventative though! Just so your cats don’t get any diseases in the future
I've used HomeoPet products before and they have all been pretty good. Too soon to tell on this as I just started it a few days ago. Cats have no idea there's anything in their water. No problem there.
I add a few drops to my cats food and they don't seem to mind. No stress involved. The price is reasonable and I use it as a preventative treatment so hopefully my cats will benefit from it down the road.
The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because I’m just not sure if it’s actually helped my kitty’s teeth or gums per se. However, it has markedly improved her breath which gives me the impression that it is doing something good. To the people disturbed by the alcohol content, I hear ya. I have been using homeopathic remedies on myself and my cats for decades. Heat up a small amount of water to very hot but not boiling and administer the drops to that. Wait til the alcohol has evaporated, 10 to 20 seconds, then add it to the food. I find this dispels the more vomitous attributes of the alcohol and the medicine is still effective. I have to feed my cats wet food morning and night, so it’s easy enough for me to do.
I got this from a local pet shop and went through 3 bottles, and my cat's recent check-up showed severe dental decay in 3 teeth. :( Earlier in the year I was told he had the beginnings of gingivitis, but since he also has a heart condition we had to wait until the cardiologist cleared him for a dental procedure. During that time I was praying this would help, as I have had very good luck with other HomeoPet products. I'm super bummed this didn't help, and that a few of his teeth got worse. I added it to a little bit of wet food and made sure he licked the bowl clean each time, but maybe it would have been more effective applying it right to his gums. I don't know, the directions say you can add it to food too, so... I think his breath did improve some, which is why I gave it two stars.
My cats still drank the water after I added these drops. It will take longer to see if it is having an effect on their breath.
I put it in the water and both cats drink the water with no issues. I may put it in the food, though. I use a pet fountain so am not sure how much to use. I hope it's helping!
I have a bunch of HomeoPet's supplement drops. My FIV+ cat has dental issues, as they are wont to do, so until his full mouth extraction I decided to add these to his food. He does not notice them in his breakfast, hence the 4-stars. Do they work? I don't know. But I have used some of their other supplements that did help my cat at times, so I decided to give it a shot.
I have a cat with gingivitis. He gets to where it’s too painful for him to eat. When he has a flare up he has to go to the vet for antibiotic and steroid injections. I have been giving him this supplement daily and I feel like it’s helping him. Only time will tell but it’s been longer than usual since he’s had to go to the doctor.
