Mix well with warm water, stir well and wait 3 minutes then serve with love!

We suggest dividing daily amount into 2 servings, 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM. Our foods must be hydrated with water before serving, but you can add slightly more or less water than we suggest, according to your pet's taste. Refrigerate or discard any leftovers.

Instructions for Cups: 1. Tear back seal and add warm water to fill line. 2. Stir and wait 3 minutes for food to hydrate. 3. Pour into your pet's bowl and serve with love.

Transition Instructions

If your dog has never tried our foods before, we recommend starting out slowly. Over a period of 1 to 2 weeks or so, start by adding just a small amount of the Honest Kitchen (with water added) into your dog’s current meals. Gradually increase the amount of the Honest Kitchen while decreasing the amount of your dog’s original diet.

The Honest Kitchen may be mixed in with your dog’s current dry kibble, canned, raw, etc. However, we do not suggest adding in other extra ingredients during the transition if you can avoid it, especially if your pup’s system is very sensitive. After you’ve successfully transitioned your dog to the new food, perhaps after 2-4 weeks or so, and they are doing well, then you may consider adding in extra ingredients or introducing another honest kitchen recipe, etc.

Dehydrated to Lock in Natural Goodness

The Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog foods are made with a single meat protein — free-range chicken, cage-free turkey or hormone-free beef — all sustainably sourced. Their grain-free recipes are great for pups with sensitivities, and the whole grain options are made with organic rolled oats. They're less processed than regular dry food, and dehydrated to retain their natural goodness and flavor.

  • a little disappointed

    By on

I'm trying to replace home cooked dog food with high quality balanced food for my two dogs. The problem I'm having is the rehydrating is not working like the instructions claim. The green beans are like rocks even after I used hot water and let it sit for a half hour. So I now refrigerate overnight the mixture with water, to get the green rocks to resemble green beans. I will probable try other brands to see if they are any better.

  • Healthy and convenient

My 2 year old Golden Doodle LOVES this food. It is a nice alternative to switching to a full raw diet - which I didn’t have the budget or patience to take on. Now I know I’m giving him a more nutritious option than dry kibble without any of the preparation and research on my end. Just mix with water and serve! And he scarfs it down and licks the bowl clean every time!

  • She loves it!

I have an older dog who has severe allergies. She has been on medication her whole life so is missing many teeth. Very careful what I can give her due to allergies and not many teeth. She LOVES this food. Actually sits in the kitchen and cries for it while I am mixing with water. So glad we found this for her!!!

  • My high hopes, was brought low...:(

    By on

I had high hopes for this, as I want to switch my dogs over to a food other than kibble. This looked hopeful, but 2 out of 3 of my dogs don't like it. They may sniff it, take a couple licks, then walk away. My third dog gulps it down, of coarse he gulps EVERYTHING down, as he is a piggy! On the plus side, I will say it is easy to whip up a batch of this food, but the down side is it is a soft mash, not what I thought it would be, as say, some lumpy chunky food. Looks more like wet cornmeal, before it's baked. Plus the smell reminded me of those cube's you can put in your soup, for more flavoring,,,ugh, never did like that smell! I don't use them, and don't want it in my dogs food either. I had high hopes for this, as I want to switch my dogs over to a food other than kibble. • Great Product!

My dog had stomach upset with every other dog food we tried....and we tried many. On the recommendation of a breeder we started feeding Honest Kitchen grain free chicken and she hasn't had a stomach upset since. We are greatful and I'm sure so is our dog.

  • Honest Kitchen Force

    By on

Several years ago my Dobie was experiencing diarrhea and vomiting. I was using food purchased from his veterinarian plus I was boiling chicken and white rice. Nothing was helping! I ventured into a pet supply store and explained the above. I was "given" a small box of Honest Kitchen Force and have been using it since.

  • They love it

Since we were going out of town, we decided to try the one with the protein in it, we had been using the one where you add the protein. It’s a much different consistency than the other, so I wasn’t sure how well it would go over, but they love it.

  • Should ask my dog. . .

    By on

Looking at this product, from a human perspective, it doesn't look like much . But we aren't eating it - they are! I do, however, make it even more interesting by cooking up some chicken tenders with kale and adding that to the mix. In addition I use 1 cup of the chicken broth cooked up from making the tenders to the mix, followed by a 1/2 cup of cold water. . . stir and wait 3-5 minutes and serve. The result is usually the stuff is gone within minutes! So much better than canned food. Thanks Chewy's for providing a great product.

  • Best Dog Food We Have Tried

    By on

We have two Australian Terriers, and one is a very picky eater. I had about given up trying to find something he would eat consistently. This is it! I give them Force (grain free chicken) in the morning and Embark (grain free turkey) in the evening. I add 1/8 cup of Honest Kitchen Bone Broth with Tumeric and a heaping teaspoon of canned pumpkin to each feeding. Using my Keurig to add hot water makes mixing it up a breeze.
