Does any of The Honest Kitchen base mixes come in sample sizes? My elderly boy is so, so fussy and though he's only been with us a year, I've spent a small fortune on foods he will not eat.

How many lbs of meat (total) do you need to add to make the whole box (7lb box of base).? I’d like to buy all the meat I need at once, prepare all the food & freeze most of it. Thank you.

Overall, you will need approximately 5 pounds of meat for the 3 pound bag of base mix, and approximately 11 1/2 pounds of meat for the 7 pound bag of base mix.

When it says “cups of meat to add per day” is that 8 ounces of raw or cooked meat? Since raw meat cooks down this could make a big difference.

The measurement is based on raw, uncooked meat.

Hello, someone asked if there were pesticides used to grow any ingredients and the answer was vague- the answer was that there are no chemicals in the product, which could mean chemicals as ingredients. Can you please clarify that no pesticides were used to grow any of these ingredients? Thank you!!

The Honest Kitchen raw ingredient suppliers use very minimal pesticides, and only when deemed necessary to protect a crop against pests. If pesticides are used, the produce is tested for residues in accordance with normal food standards for humans.

Then I’d have to do it all over again and that’s on top of meal preparation for the family! With honest kitchen meal mix, this relives hours of my time! I literally just have to cook meat and add this meal mix to it and DONE! Less than 30 mins to prepare weeks of food!
