Add a little Honest Kitchen to your pet's food over the course of 5-7 days, while decreasing the amount of current food.
I have a 5 year old mixed breed baby girl. I have been through so many foods because her system seems to be very finicky. Most foods would make her constipated while others went too far the other way. This food has made a difference since day one. Her transition to this food went pretty fast and very smooth-totally unlike any other food She even seems more relaxed-not as anxiety prone. It makes me think she has never truly been comfortable physically since now. Glad I found this food and recipe! Wish I had known about it sooner. It is definitely pricey but her health and happiness is worth it.
I try to keep my dogs' diet interesting, tasty, affordable, and easy to serve. After a long delay (it is pricey), I bought a box of the Chicken & Duck Recipe and started my Beagle and my Dachshund/Yorkie on it this morning. Supposedly, a box provides 1/4 bunch of kale, 7 carrots, 1/3 small pumpkin, 4 3/4 # of free range chicken, 4 2/3 cups of bone broth, and 1/2 pound of cage free duck. I followed the directions and, after the glop sat 3 minutes to hydrate, fed it to the dogs. It filled their bowls 3X as much as usual (next time I'll make half the recommended amount) and they both went after it like starved coyotes. Sadie even licked the mat beneath her bowl. The one downside is that the supposedly-resealable bag needed to be cut open and I needed my wife's help to pour the unused part (it's a gritty powder) into two gallon ziploc bags. I'm guessing it will last two weeks and that puts the price at $3.00 per meal (about fifty cents more than I usually spend). If I wasn't such a tightwad, I'd have given it five stars. The fact of the matter is: the two one-gallon bags are easier to stash away than the big bag provided by Gourmet Grains. This will be a regular addition to the convenient "tubs" of food that I usually give my dogs in the morning. The girls seemed to love it and it's easy to store/serve after the first use.
looking to provide some more flavor and excitement to my dogs food. This added some moisture to their dry kibble. They clean their bowls every time!
I hate chewy with a passion. Disgusting monopoly but of course living in an extremely rural area, because chewy outbuys small business, I literally have no choice as items get harder to find. The Honest Kitchen dehydrated foods though? Marvelous. My dogs love it and it’s easy enough for me to make and feel better than giving them a kibble only diet.
My dog left the room as soon as I opened the bag. Tried using as directed, but it made a thick, slimy gob. Had to keep adding water until nearly a soup consistency before the sliminess began to diminish. My dog wouldn't even walk within 3 feet of it. Terrible waste of money.
They look forward to chowing down this food and try to lick the pattern off their bowls. Total success with this recipe. Highly recommend.
I had to get this flavor instead of our usual choice (due to supply issues?). It was well received and enjoyed by our nearly 12 yr old lab/shep mix. It smells quite delightful to my human nose upon mixing, so it doesn’t surprise me that it was devoured. It smells fairly close to pumpkin pie! Although it’s a bit more expensive than some other flavors we normally get, Dog definitely wouldn’t disagree about throwing this one in the mix once in a while.
Amazing and affordable fresh food option! I've been looking for ways to include more fresh food in my dog diet and this is it! It doesn't take up any of my freezer space which is a blessing and the ingredients are amazing. It also adds more moisture to my dogs diet which is a plus! We love the honest kitchen.
My pooch is a picky eater but not with the honest kitchen. I took a chance with getting more than 1 of their items and my girl loves them all. I love the ingredients and I am very happy we found them. I am now a new loyal customer to the honest kitchen.
I was waiting for Chewy to finally sell the HK recipe! Absolutely amazing! No more carbs both of my beagle look so lean and healthy! I’ve used THK for years and wouldn’t feed anything else to my babies. I also buy their cat food and kitty loved it too!
