Everything in this kit is useful. My horse foundered and now has recurring abscesses. The best part of the kit is the temporary wrap that once you figure out to follow the numbers is a wonderful way to protect the foot while you wait for it to heal. My horse is afraid of having his foot soaked and this kit is no different for him, but we have gotten it to work after trying. Glad there were two soaker boots - as he broke the first. I'm going to get another one soon since his problem is recurrent - sigh
