I've really struggled with finding a good chew toy for my dogs. Rawhide is no longer recommended - choking hazard. Plastic bones just don't seem right. Corners of

I've really struggled with finding a good chew toy for my dogs. Rawhide is no longer recommended - choking hazard. Plastic bones just don't seem right. Corners of my coffee table is definitely off the list. I was so happy to discover these cow ears! My dogs - collies, think Lassie dogs - are not big chewers, they've got delicate little jaws, so the ears might not last as long with, say, labrador retrievers, but my dogs will lie quietly and delightedly chew away for 15-20 minutes, eating each ear completely. They are not roasted or coated in any way, so they don't stain carpets. The only problem is fights can arise if someone finishes an ear fast and decides to steal someone else's. But that's user error. The cow ear product is wonderful, and I think you for making it available for me!

Not sure about safety

We purchased a cow’s ear locally and our standard poodle loved it, so I was excited to receive these. The packaging was surprising: a grey plastic mailer-type envelope

We purchased a cow’s ear locally and our standard poodle loved it, so I was excited to receive these. The packaging was surprising: a grey plastic mailer-type envelope that I’m not sure is food safe. Usually this sort of mailer is used only for shipping. The ears themselves looked good, but the first one my poodle tried was very brittle. It kept breaking off in shards that she struggled to swallow. And then the next morning she uncharacteristically had diarrhea. I’m keeping an eye on her now as she seems lethargic. Not sure if I’ll try another ear from this package, and definitely not until I know she’s feeling well again. Will probably stick to local purchases for this product from now on.
