Huxley & Kent Cat Kicker Rainbow Trout Cat Toy, Multicolor

No idea why this toy doesn’t have more attention, because it’s truly the best!! My cats all love kick-wrestling, so I’ve been on a search for the best kicker toys out there. I’ve looked at dozens at this point, and the biggest problems tend to be: A) gimmicky or ugly design. It might sound silly, but I like my cats’ toys to realistically resemble stuff they might actually hunt. Giving these tiny apex predators a toy shaped like a taco or a bag of chips just feels kinda stupid to me lol. B) durability. Way too many are make of soft plushie materials that they’ll clearly rip to shreds in 2 days. C) size. So many “kicker” toys are weirdly small, and I don’t know how they expect a full-grown cat to actually get good grab-n-kick action from a toy that’s less than 5”. But this fish solves all those problems! Really pretty and realistic design, super sturdy canvas-type material, excellent size (about 10” long), feathers on one end and a satisfying-but-not-scary-loud crinkle on the other - and of course, plenty of catnip. All 4 of our cats adore these things; I got both versions (this rainbow one and the blue-grey one) and as you can see from the photo, they’re a huge hit for weeks now. The cats go absolutely bonkers, kicking to their lil’ hearts’ content, and they’ll even fight each other over them. Guess I’ll just have to get more lol
