How many milligrams of Hyaluronic Acid are in each dose?

Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2020
HyaFlex Hyalogic Hyaluronic Acid Hip & Joint Dog Supplement contains approximately 2 milligrams of Hyaluronic Acid per dose.

how much of this do you give a 42lb dog

Answer by ChewyFeb 02, 2022
Please click on the attached photo to reference the dosage chart. Just administer the specified amount (shown on the side of the box) of HyaFlex™ to your pet once daily. HyaFlex™ is odorless and tasteless so your pet won’t even notice it. Each bottle of HyaFlex™ contains a 30-60 day supply depending on the weight of the animal.

What is source? Is it vegan?

Answer by ChewySep 01, 2020
The Hyaluronic Acid in Hya-Flex™ comes from an extracellular protein produced by natural fermentation. This product is not derived from any animal source. Hypersensitivity reactions should not be a concern. Natural fermentation can yield higher molecular weight HA. The weight of the molecule directly influences its “moisture-binding” capability, and HyaFlex™ has the highest molecular weight HA on the market. This may explain the phenomenal results we are experiencing.

Can this be used for swine?

Answer by ChewyJan 30, 2023
This supplement is formulated for dogs only.

My dog has been using this for about eight years now. I found it when he injured his back from playing too hard. He isa dachshund mix, with a long bag, so he is prone to back in injuries. He really has not had another incident like the first one, and I am attributing that to this product. I feel like it keeps him flexible. He will be 10 this year, and thinking this has helped him out.

Got and read the box. So do you give it in their water bowl, over food? Or just put in her mouth. I haven't tried tasting it or given it to her yet. She is super picky and I don't want to waste it.. Nor do I not want to be prepared to her reaction if it tastes horrible. Package LACKS basic info.

It worked partially at best. Legs still shake when we're out for morning walk. It works somewhat and totally better than glucosamine chews. He has ongoing issues with feet licking and chewing, constant rolling on rugs, and sitting and scratching. All the animal care gurus and some vets say it's a lack of gut health and he needs probiotic. I disagree we've tried probiotics, hemp chews, apoquel, and other things recommended. I don't think anyone knows, best guesses and a chance to sell merch.

Unfortunately, my dog could not handle this supplement, even when starting with way less than what she needed as recommended by a vet. She is currently experiencing very bad watery diarrhea and on meds to hopefully keep her hydrated and get back to normal. I would consult with your vet first about adding a supplement like this and if it’s needed for your dog. Start slow and adjust accordingly.

Within two months of using Hyaluric acid AND Cosequin Senior Joint Health Supplement together, I have seen an improvement in my dog's gait. My large 8 year old, 150 pound Alaskan Malamute, has gone from a slow walk to a trot when we go for our walks. I don't know which Supplement is providing the results.

No improvement yet

Maybe it's too early, but there has been no improvement in my dog Max's limp. If he improves, I will happily modify my rating. Rick
