Low in NSC, safe for metabolic horses

This feed is on the ECIR Horse Safe Feeds Guide. When one of my horses was diagnosed with PPID, I switched them to Hygain Zero. He seems to like it and I can mix his other supplements in there. The feeding rate is also relatively small, so the bag is cost effective. It’s a good way to get necessary minerals and vitamins into a horse with metabolic issues, without spiking glucose.

I purchased this low carb alternative to my horses low carb feed which was out of stock. My horse would not eat it. Searched locally for my usual feed that I get thru chewy and I found it. I made the one hour forty five minute drive to pick it up and my horse is back on his feed.

Best feed!

This feed is great! Delivers very quickly! I have fed this to one of my horses for almost 1 1/2 years now because she is allergic to grain and other common ingredients

Perfect Cushings Feed

My pony has horrible PPID and we’ve struggled to find the perfect diet balance for years. This feed is wonderful although a little high in iron.

High Quality Horse Feed w/Low NSC

This is one of the only feeds with minimal clean ingredients available in the US from Dr. Kellon's list (ECIR Group). My only reason for taking off two points is that over the last couple of years, it has experienced a price increase of over 50%. The pandemic is not an excuse because in Europe and the UK, the price went back down after 2021. Price aside, my very picky 24 y/o mare eats this fine, as a base for her meds and supplements. It's a pelleted feed; therefore, we feed it soaked to avoid choking.
