So far so good
Happy to have found a low NSC ration balancer for my pony that doesn’t have molasses or other bad ingredients. Wanted one thru chewy so this was the winner! She is eating it well as I slowly transition her.
Safe for metabolics
If you’re looking for a ration balancer that is safe for metabolic horses, look no further. It has a starch level of <1.5% people! My very picky 43 year tb ate this with no problem (I do lightly wet it) along with hygain Munga. Check that out too!
Great for horses with metabolic issues
This is the perfect feed for my senior mare with Cushings. She's always been an easy keeper, so opting for the balancer pellet was the right move. She loves the taste and cleans her bucket every feeding!
My horse is eating again
My 23 year old Oldenburg N.A. mare was recently diagnosed with IR and Cushing’s disease. Per the advice of the veterinarian, I reduced her low carb/starch diet even more by switching to Hygain Zero Ration Balancer and she began to be off her feed and then would eat a little and then would be off again. I set up an appointment with the Hygain Nutritionist that suggested Hygain Meta Starch and Coolstance, and my girl is eating again! I appreciate Chewy’s willingness to carry so many feeds that would be normally unavailable to me.

Excellent Feed
Recently started my Navicular horse on this, it’s an excellent feed, very low in starches and he loves it!
