I do NOT recommend
I have 2 sproodles. One is not a big chewer and the other is. My non chewer played with this for 15 minutes and I noticed pieces on the floor. When I checked on my chewer, he had 1/3 of it shredded in a matter of minutes. If your pups chew at all, I do not recommend this product. It should not come apart as easily as it did. I threw both of them out.
This toy is not durable and not long lasting. After 2 minutes, it had deep tooth marks. After 24 hours, it was pretty much destroyed. The attached picture is after 24 hours. Only one 6 month old puppy chewing on the toy. Mostly played with other toys and slept for the 24 hours. This ball was actually played with for probably 2-3 hours tops. See picture.
DO NOT BUY THIS!!
I bought this for my Rottie and within 5 minutes probably less, pieces were coming off . Definitely not meant for aggressive chewer’s maybe better for smaller dogs
The best ball ever
I don’t understand all the negative comments about this ball. I have purchased no less than 20 of these balls, and my dog has never chewed up even one of them. She is a Labradoodle. I hit them with a golf club. They aren’t heavy like a Kong, so they work great. They can fly about 100 yards! The only issue I might have with them is the color. They tend to blend into the grass, which is why I have had to buy so many of them, I lose them.
No match for chewers
My dog had a chunk out of this in less than three minutes. Seems durable on first glance but my puppy had it destroyed in a matter of minutes.
Not for all dogs
Gave it to my Chessie just a min ago early for Christmas, 5 min later she had a chunk out of it and was eating it.
No match for my lab :(
Bought the ball and the bone for my lab. Chalk Pond Retrievers recommended them for her labs, and I was inspired. Well. 10 minutes in and my girl has already ripped it apart and chewing on the foam like gum :( Now we have them locked up in a closet. I thought they would hold up better not having seams or ridges, but apparently my girl is a super chewer. Avoid if your dogs are heavy chewers. I recommend to all who have light chewers or "babies" that like to hold onto things.
Destroyed in less than 10 minutes
Our 10 month old pup destroyed this in less than 10 minutes... did not hold up at all...
Quality has gone downhill
No kidding I had the Hyper Pet chew stick (not ball) for 10 years. It held on through three heavy chewers. Finally it had so many teeth marks I had to replace it. Plus my Standard Poodle was beginning to be able to bite wee bits off the ends bc the toy was old. Replaced it here on Chewy and had to take it away from the dogs after one day because they were able to chew it to bits. Very unhappy as this was one of the few toys, in addition to Kongs, that had withstood their chewing. Took photos but they're too large to upload and beyond my tech capabilities to resize.
Hyper Pet Chew Stick
The Stick is made of benign stuff that, for a larger healthy dog, is non toxic and benign to both the teeth and GI system. My smaller dogs have had issues with their teeth, and this is safe to be out in case they get it, unlike the harder nylon sticks. Very happy with them!
