The only food that agrees long term with my food sensitivity prone dog

    By on

Unless I cook for him, all dogs foods eventually cause hot spots. This is the exception, it’s been about 3 yrs. He’s ten & it took about 7 years to find the right one. The only thing is it doesn’t contain a grain (as is the case w/most high quality dog food) & he is prone to heart disease (grain free dog food/heart disease correlation) so I supplement with oatmeal.

I Was Leary’s to buy this at first, not my normal brand.

    By on

My dog, is very finicky when it comes to his food. I purchased this dog food because what I normally get, ( Tylee’s) has been out of stock. So, I searched and thought I’d try Stir & Boom. My dog absolutely loves this food. I’m so impressed, he’ll get it all of the time.

One of the best raw/dehydrated foods on the market

    By on

Ive had my 6 month old american eskimo sample numerous brands of dehydrated food . I and Love and You and NRG raw dehydrated beef mixes have the most whole foods look and smell - plus my dog likes them. the bits of beef are nice sized cuts of steak meat. its a quality brand I'd put against spot farms, honest kitchen and sojas any day of the week. I think the company owner must be a little cray cray though with the branding and title of foods? raw raw beef boom ba dinner? I and Love and You? sounds like a mom talking to a toddler with bad phonetics.

    Weird texture

    By on

I have no real complaints about this product. But I have switched to a different brand that rehydrates faster and looks more like real food.

    Smells delicious!

We add less water than the directions state so the food congeals and is not watery soup. Our Havanese loves it this way! It is one of the few truly poultry-free foods out there, and we are greatful for it. (Our dog is allergic to poultry.) Also, we love that it is low in calories, so our dog can eat more volume.

Wondering what is the actual percentage of meat in this mix.

    By on

I am wondering what is the actual percentage of meat in this mix, because it seems like dogs hardly interested in it. We have to put a raw egg in the mix in order to make them eat it. Otherwise they would have walked away & they are not really picky eaters. I like the other brand better, because you can literally see the real dehydrated pieces of red berries & green veggies in the mix. You can't tell what is in this mix from just looking at it, because everything in the bag is in one plain greyish brown color.

My dog simply doesn't like it.

    By on

I didn't expect my senior dog walked away from this food. I have been mixing their feeding schedule with a few variety food forms, because I know kibbles are not the best food form for our pets. So I feed my dogs 3 days with kibbles, 3 days with raw dehydrated & 1 day with homemade meal. We normally use two other brands, but I decided to give this brand a try because I like to give them some varieties. Unfortunately, my senior dog just put her nose on it for a few seconds & walked away. I was very surprised. The food itself doesn't have any distinguish smells, pretty plain.

    Don’t waste your money

    By on

Mostly all powdered and pulverized except for some big chunks. Not consistent texture at all When rehydrated as per the instructions the food is like soup mostly water even after soaking overnight with some food floating with the fat on top and the powdered mess on the bottom. The utensils I used to measure and mix were coated with greasy fat that was hard to wash off. The food after refrigerating was coated with the solidified lard and the chunks did not soften up overnight. Yuck! Gross and disgusting. Very expensive food even on sale.

    Quality Food

    By on

This is a quality dog food product. It’s a good idea to shake the bag well and use hot water versus warm water to prepare it. You will pay more because of the quality ingredients.
