No perforated tear strip to remove plastic seal, so cut X in rubber and pushed pump mechanism into it. No instructions on box or can. Is this the way it's intended to work? Or is that plastic/rubber seal meant to be removed?

The manufacturer has over tightened the pump to make sure pet's supplement is safe. We encouraging pet parents to start by holding the white part of the pump with pliers, or your fingers, then screw counterclockwise to open.

Love this product I love the fact it does not come in a plastic container for first thing. Secondly, my dogs have been itching for the two years, scratching their feet and biting at their paws constantly. I started them on this two months ago. It’s a great product. The biting of the feethas definitely slowed down. I will continue to use this product. I would recommend it to anyone.

I initially started feeding them fish oil because one of my cats is allergic to plastic and I read that fish oil can keep allergy and skin issues at bay. It is definitely true. Whenever I get lazy and stop giving him fish oil he’ll break out with painful sores after 2 weeks and can only be resolved using oral steroids. I’ve learned my lesson now so we never not have them. I also recently learned that fish oil helps prevent kidney failure so yay bonus win. I always add 2 pumps of this stuff into their wet food and yes it will stink like fish. The cats love it but just watch out not getting it on your clothes it’s the grossest oil stain you’ll have. During summers it can kinda clog up and you can prevent it by storing it in your fridge or just like me use a toothpick to yank out the dry gunk once a year. My most recent order they’ve changed their pump and it wouldn’t screw on the bottle correctly so I had to just use my old pump so hopefully mine was just a fluke but please fix that. I’ve tried both salmon oil and the anchovies variety and it looks like the sardine and anchovy oil wins in nutrition. It also has milder scent than salmon so I’ve just stuck to that now. Overall, super high quality product and you can’t beat the price and I’ve recommended it to every pet owner dealing with skin issues. Hope this helps!

We use 3 bottles every 5-6 weeks in homemade cat food. Impossible to purchase WITHOUT the pump. No pump needed! It’s a waste that ends up in landfill. Original pump still functions on bottle used daily in dogs’ food Need option to purchase WITHOUT pump Conservation begins by reusing a functional pump & option to purchase WITHOUT a pump. I’m not that unique.

I use this product for our Lab and our Husky Lab on their kibble. If she doesn’t get her kicker, Posey stares at me to make sure I know that she knows that the fish oil isn’t on there. It seems to help their skin be less itchy and their coats are beautiful.

Shiny coat on a black whippet

Very noticeable difference in my dog's skin and coat. My vet thinks this supplement is great for my flyball dogs. I agree.

My dog suffers from a lot of food allergies and her diet is limited. Even after cutting what she was allergic to out of her meals her skin was so dry patchy and had now shone. This product is amazing she was dealing missing out on her omega3. After about a month I saw huge improvements. No more losing hair and scratching. Her hair is so smooth and shiny. Absolutely a game changer!

Be mindful of the amount of calories in each dose. Our 68 dog was getting 6 pumps/day for her size, which added up to over 150 calories. Vet recommended a total of 780 calories a day in her diet, so this oil made up a big part of that! Also it is in the ethyl ester form which is less bioavailable than the triglyceride form. With weight loss down to 60 pounds she would get only 3 pumps per day, about 75 calories, but we chose to go with a triglyceride formula which also had lower calories and better bioavailability.
