Questions & Answers

My dog seems to love these as well - any risk in him having a few?

Answer by JenniferJun 08, 2025
The previous answer is not correct. You have to be careful of cat food/treats because they are nutritionally formulated for cats and can be higher in fat, which could cause pancreatitis. These treats specifically, are low in fat and the ingredients are not any different than what you could find in dog treats. As with any treats, moderation is the key.

Please tell me the phosphorus content of the Inaba Choru Tuna and Chicken puree? What is the phosphorous content in each tube based on dry matter analysis for one tube? Thank-you.

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2020
The Tuna varieties contain approximately 0.2%-0.3% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (2.2%-3.3% on a dry matter basis) and the Chicken varieties contain approximately 0.3%-0.4%% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (3.3%-4.4% on a dry matter basis).

Are these treats made from grain fed and free range animals?

Answer by ChewyDec 02, 2019
Inaba Churu uses chicken breast fillets which are from cage-free chickens raised on family farms close to their facilities in Thailand. The whole muscle skipjack tuna is responsibly harvested in pristine West Pacific waters by a select fleet of fishing boats. All the other natural ingredients in their Fillet broths and Churu® Purées are sourced in Thailand. Every ingredient they use is human grade.

Are the Inaba lickable Churu cat treats nutritious ?

Answer by ChewyMay 23, 2019
Each recipe is rich in moisture, so your cat can get the hydration she needs in her diet to support her overall health. And with zero grains, artificial preservatives or colors, you can feel good feeding Inaba’s lickable cat treats to your feline.

Our cat ate all the flavors of these treats and loved them. My grandcats on the other hand are a little finicky. They don't care for the ones with scallops, crab, etc. They like tuna, chicken and cheese ones the best. Sadly, we had to put our kitty Bit down on New Year's Eve. We are watching our grandcats at the present time and trying to decide whether to get another little tiger.

i’m not exaggerating when I say my cat would do literally anything for a churu. He sees anything vaguely tube shaped and starts running towards me. Cheese sticks and drink flavor packets are not safe from this man and his desire to lick some churu. This is how I got him to take pill, how I’ve been training him to do tricks, and how I got him used to wearing a harness so I can start taking him for walks. Attached is a photo from the day we met where he literally climbed me because I was holding one in my hands.

Chewy is a bunch of hypocrites and liars whose warehouses can’t pack a box so your items don’t get all busted up. So you call and the rep doesn’t inform you that you need to return the damaged items so you end up getting ripped off because Dennis couldn’t tell you that chewy wanted the damaged items back So between chewy and FedEx I have a very bitter taste in my mouth

The best lickable cat treats on the market

My cat is absolutely obsessed with these. They're a great way to bond with your cat, and, for me, a great way to get extra moisture in her diet since she's a Persian and prone to kidney troubles later in life. She loves all of the flavors, and the bucket they come in is a great little storage tub for her toys after all of the Churus are consumed. I've tried many lickable cat treats over the years and these are hands down the best ones. Highly recommended.

The tubes are the best ones

My cats only like the tubes. I can sometimes hide Puck’s medicine in it and I can always add both cats probiotic. They don’t care for the shreds in the other products

17yo male cat sometimes needs a little extra motivation to eat. This stuff is truly The Cat’s Meow! Finickiness and indifference go right out the window when one of the pouches is opened. Adds spring to his step while revving up his appetite. Hope he stays enthusiastic about this one! So far, so good!

My cats didn't used to care about treats or snacks. Then they did. This has turned my cats into fiends who think only of their next tube. They follow me around the house, maneuvering for the position closest to me. They stare at me for hours, trying to convey the need for another tube. They revert to feral kittenhood when I say "it's not time for a tube." And when I sit on the sofa next to the bucket of tubes, they stand on my lap and shoulders and put their faces in mine and poke their claws in my skin to demand another tube. I don't know if I'm safe anymore. Life will never the same. I hope they never stop making them.
