When will this food be in stock? I cannot find it anywhere!

Is the shape of the kibble round or more of an x with three points?

Answer by ChewySep 16, 2018
The kibble looks like a triangle. Please see the picture below for a close up of the kibble.

What is the ash content in this food?

Answer by ChewyMay 23, 2018
This formula has an Ash content of 8.4%.

Is the package vacuum sealed? What is the maximum shelf life.

Answer by ChewyMay 30, 2022
While none of the Royal Canin bags are vacuum sealed, the bags can have this appearance from time to time due to the manufacturing process. Royal Canin bags are flushed with nitrogen to eliminate oxygen within the bags, as oxygen breaks down the natural preservatives. If the kibble is still hot when the nitrogen is flushed into the bag, the heat from the kibble can react with the nitrogen and cause the packaging to shrink down around the kibble giving off a vacuum sealed appearance. There is nothing harmful about this, it's just an anomaly that we can sometimes see. Bags that have more of a "pillow" appearance, like a bag of potato chips, are equally as fresh as the bags described above. The only concern we would have would be if the bag was damaged allowing oxygen to penetrate and cause the food to spoil. Dry food has a shelf life of 18 months after manufacturing as long as it has not been opened. After opening, a bag can stay fresh for up to 2 months with proper storage.

Like most of his waitstaff, I'm always a bit apprehensive about Cooper trying something new. RC products have always been popular with the furry household monarchy, but King Coops gobbles up these bits with alacrity -- there are two surefire ways to tell when he likes something: Enthusiasm and grunting. Both are on full display when his feeder goes off and he tears through the house every time! He can't miss a single kibble!

My cat has been eating this brand since she was a kitten in 2014, and our new cats eat it too. I love that all three of them enjoy this dry food, even though it’s health focused. It’s done wonders for their coat and keeps them healthy. It’s high in protein and healthy fats. Perfect for active indoor cats!

Cat loves this food.

My two year-old absolutely loves this food. I have offered him other options and he always goes back to this food. Does not have problems with vomiting diarrhea

My two year-old absolutely loves this food. I have offered him other options and he always goes back to this food. Does not have problems with vomiting diarrhea. This food seems like a good fit for him. I do measure it out because it is easy for him to gain weight on food.

All my boys love this stuff. I was switching back and forth between weight management and hair ball control and found this combination. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be liked because all my boys are picky but they are all enjoying it. Definitely going to be my new go to.

Pricey but worth it.

This food does do what it's supposed to. The litter does smell less when they do their business and it's smaller, so there's that. It makes a world of a difference

This food does do what it's supposed to. The litter does smell less when they do their business and it's smaller, so there's that. It makes a world of a difference. I feed my cats this when their wet food wasn't replenished. It keeps their bellies full longer and they need less. The pellets are bigger so it requires more chewing on the cats' part.

Big Hard to Swallow Kibble

both of my cats have had their teeth removed, but they're able to eat kibble that's smaller. They can also eat greenies because they're like a more round shape but

both of my cats have had their teeth removed, but they're able to eat kibble that's smaller. They can also eat greenies because they're like a more round shape but these kibble bits are triangle and one of my cats choked on a piece so I wish they made this kibble in a different shape or small smaller.

HUGE kibble - way too big for my cat.

I was excited to try this food for my cat. She is a tad on the petite size and has struggled with other food size. I should have checked - the food looks like it

I was excited to try this food for my cat. She is a tad on the petite size and has struggled with other food size. I should have checked - the food looks like it should be dog food, it's huge. My negative review is based on that fact, not whether the product is good.

Great brand, I buy almost exclusively their brand for both my cats. However this particular one, has very large kibble size. My smaller cat (who eats anything not nailed down) is struggling with this particular kibble. My larger cat has no problem with this one, & is a picky eater. I know they have other lines with smaller kibbles but this particular one is too large for my smaller cat. Otherwise love the brand!

Cat loved the taste but threw up daily

We have been a fan of Royal Canin for years but went away from it due to the cost. With our cat's current dry food discontinued, we saw good reviews on this product

We have been a fan of Royal Canin for years but went away from it due to the cost. With our cat's current dry food discontinued, we saw good reviews on this product and went for it. While our cat seemed to love it and ate it quickly, she threw up the food every day for the first 5 days until we switched to a different brand and took her to the vet. Fortunately, she is OK after some meds and fluids, but we will avoid this food going forward. As one reviewer noted, the kibble size is larger than many others including her old and now new kibble so I wonder if that was part of the issue.
