If treatment is ineffective at the lower doses, go back to the minimum dose that is effective. Your dogs clinical symptoms should improve. He/she should stop leaking urine. Effectiveness is defined as no signs of incontinence for 7 consecutive days. An improvement will usually be noticed within a few days. Adjustment of the initial dose will often be necessary. Your veterinarian will help you to figure out the ideal dose of Incurin for your dog. Medication should be continued indefinitely if it is working.
