The Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Recipe has Mixed Tocopherols and Rosemary Extract listed under the ingredient list, which the Instinct Frozen Raw Bites Chicken Recipe does not. This recipe also has a higher crude protein and fat content. We always recommend speaking to your veterinarian prior to changing your little one's routine. Your pet's vet is your best ally in managing any existing health conditions and sensitivities.

Just the BEST

My two very spoiled picky eater terriers just LOVE this stuff. I mix one 25 ounce bag of the freeze dried raw meal with two small bags of the freeze dried topper - we use the immunity one and the digestion one - instead of kibble, and mix with a wet topper and a little water to rehydrate. Never a bite left! I really wanted to feed raw, but just couldn't deal with the whole frozen thing (hey, I can barely manage the human food in my freezer, plus I was constantly forgetting to thaw the dog food). This stuff is shelf stable, and I encourage you to read up on the nutritional benefits of freeze dried raw. It is just perfect for us, and worth every penny.

Good training treat option

This is a great training treat option for those looking for something light weight and healthy. I did the math and each piece of this is about 2.5 cals and they’re easy to break in half. My Golden puppy also absolutely loves them so it’s a win win win.

Dog is happy

My dog really seams to enjoy the instinct freeze dried chicken food. I bought it to supplement his home cooked food. He likes it without any added water or broth. It's crunchy but soft enough for older dogs with sensitive teeth. Gives dogs the sensory enjoyment of something crunchy. I recommend.

Decided not to purchase.

The ingredients look wonderful, and I'm highly interested in transitioning my senior Golden Retriever to a fresher diet - I like that it's freeze-dried and not baked, as this reduces the nutrients. However, when I read the feeding instructions and did the math, even with the autoship discount, it would cost $784/month to feed this. I'm sure it's a great food, but I'll keep looking!

Daisy loves this!

Bought this to mix with her regular dry food (that she wasn't too thrilled with). Just put about 1 part this chicken to 3 parts regular dry kibble and she devours it!
